ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

Yes, A few girls in my Rey group did receive their costumes in the past week or so

You actually GOT your costumes?!!!!!! I'm just about having a heart attack!!! Wow. Are they any good in your opinion?

Those have taken at least two years or even more.

Thanks so much for the update - it feels right now like one in a series of last Anovos breaths keeping hope on life support!!!

Y'all do y'all, I'm in. I've got my DP, my Cylon Trader, my Rubies... This is the costume I've lusted after and sought to perfect from too-scant reference since 1982. I'll payment-plan it and what will be will be.

I would strongly encourage you to very carefully read the convention policies for Celebration and/or ComicCon before staging any type of public spectacle within the walls of the convention, even a mild-mannered one. I'd also remind you that more often than not, unless it is the owners themselves, people who work a con booth for any company are often hired for that alone and are 1) not in a position to answer the type of questions you are proposing nor 2) are in any position to do anything about your order. What you are proposing is the equivalent of screaming at the teenage order-taker at Chick-fil-a about the company's policy on being closed on Sunday.
As a con exhibitor for many years, I'm pretty well versed in the etiquettes of organizing con meet-ups. Believe me, I want to stay at my booth and make money like everyone else instead of leaving to inquire about something that is essentially a hobby but the facts are these....Anovos has over $4000 of my money. I have had some items on order for over 3 years now. They have ceased any and all customer service communication. The people who man the booth are not the equivalent of a fast food cashiers, This is a small company and I've met some of the higher ups who are indeed at the Anovos booth at many of their convention set ups.
I'm not calling for a protest or a demonstration. I just think a gathering of 10 or 20 of concerned customers asking questions in unison might get a point across better than approaching them as individuals where they can brush us off as usual.
If you have any other suggestions to make Anovos listen, I am respectfully all ears. I have many other better things to do at SDCC.

This sounds great. Asking questions as a group is just great and, as long as you are not acting to dissuade or block their customers, or disrupt business, you will not be kicked out.

Sounds awesome.

Did you seen the sizewarning on the anovos site for the Royal Guard?

"This helmet does have a more narrow fit."- I bet its a copy of a DP-helmet.:D

Yup. And while I'm a 7-3/8 to 7-1/2 hat size, my skull shape is longer front-to-back that the typical roundness hats tend to be made for. I can still get it in the DP, with difficulty, and it had mold shrinkage from the casting process, much like the other DP offerings. They say laser scanned from the original and, based on their other offerings, I trust that.

Suggestion - base it on their shipping, not their offering!!!! ;)

I want this helmet desperately. Yet, is it something I'm willing to gamble my money on? Gamble, that I'll receive this helmet within 3 years? Gamble, that I'll receive this helmet before they go out of business (which I don't want!)? Gamble, that as soon as I preorder -& pay for- this helmet, someone more trustworthy -like RS- comes out with one of their own (like happened with my Luke X-Wing helmet)?
Honestly, do I expect this to ship when they say they expect it to ship? No. Saddly, do I expect this to ship at all, during any part of 2020 or even 2021? No. I want ANOVOS to succeed and flourish... but I've lost faith, & they've lost my business.

Same here, I have one outstanding order with them left.

So much I want to buy from them but the warning signs are all there and even if the were not, the way they treat their customers and run their business I have lost all respect for them
