ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

You know what I had forgotten about? Anovos charges a $12 handling fee, in addition to shipping fees!!! I had completely forgotten about that!!!
"This is the handling charge for the shipment of your item, which is separate from shipping/postage."

I have the Luke rebel pilot helmet and first order stormtrooper premier TLJ helmet on order. The Stormtrooper helmet has already had a delay, or two. The Luke helmet shipping window ends today with no update on thier shipping calendar.

It occurs to me that the recently announced second wave offering for the Luke helmet is not actually a second production run but, rather, a sale of cancelled first wave orders - possibly, even, necessary to fund the customer refunds.

I’m considering cancelling one, or both orders. However, the wait and hassle may not be worth it. I’m curious, though, if anyone has been successful pursuing a charge-back with thier credit card company, especially if they purchased through the Anovos payment plan?

What a wonderful mess....


I bought a couple of things from them early on that I was lucky enough to receive in a timely manner that I was happy with. I have gone on the website multiple times since to purchase several other items but simply can't and won't pull the trigger because of that additional fee.
 
My buddy is in Disney world right now as we speak. He’s picked up a few things for me, while he was there I asked him to take some pics of the anovos stuff like he did for me last year

Nothing... nothing on the shelf’s, nothing on display..

I was told Disneyworld had pulled all Anovos products because of complaints from customers.

From Customer Service?!!! They are going to let this window expire in complete silence?! Customer Service doesn't count if they are not allowed to say anything. And "coming soon" means NOTHING COMING FROM ANOVOS.

Anyone else want to join me at their booth at Wondercon in March? Like seriously - a demonstration with signs/ cards like a strike? Something that potential customers can easily see? I'm thinking about it.
 
It’ll be interesting to see if anovos shows up to celebration in Chicago.

Not surprised to hear Disney pulled anovos stuff from the shelves.
 
Whoa - might I ask - who told you this? And anyone here at Disneyland CA? Would love to have someone report back. I will try to find something out.
Sorry! Disneyland (CA). I don't know about Disneyworld (FL).
I was told by a friend I work with who asked the Disney Store at Disneyland. He goes to DL regularly and asked why all the Anovos stuff was gone. I believe it was a store employee who told him this.

I didn't get the feeling that they are going to send an update today. I think they know that when they send an official update about missing the Fall window that it is going to result in a flood of angry customers and refund requests.

I also see that their live chat only works to 1PM on Fridays. You'd think that since today is the end of a critical season for them, that they would want to have that open to field requests.

I can't do this with them anymore. Not providing an update at the end of the season, especially since the product has been delayed multiple times, is just disrespectful to the customer and an avoidance of responsibility.

Goodbye ANOVOS, never again.
 
Just ordered from DARKSIDECOSTUMES on Etsy. Hopefully in 6-8 weeks, I'll be up and running.

I have worked with Darksidecostumes a bit already. VERY professional and attentive. And when they cannot get something out in a timely manner (like by Halloween etc.) they are open about it. Post pics!!! And post them here in the Anovos thread because we have nothing else to post lol!!!

And yes, Anovos is overwhelmingly unfair to their customers.
 
I also have the Luke ESB belt on wait...
But mine is a replacement order. I have been told they do have the belts but they are way behind on shipping. Tho I find this extremely difficult to believe as its been almost a month... the CR rep today say they are shipping tho??

Leeway if you get an email about a delay on the luke belt could you let me know.
Mine is actually a replacement as well. I got the Han holster which was way out of whack in it's sizing so I panicked and changed the Luke holster before it was shipped from a large to a medium. I was told to expect mine in the spring 2019. Of course that was after I was told I wanted a replacement to the medium initially that they were in stock.

Oh huh... I had 2 issues, the gun holster strap was too short, this is supposedly fixed with wave 1 and 2 belts. And I needed a large belt to fit better.

I am literally told a box with my name and address is sitting in their shipping dept at Anovos.... now since Nov 20. They say the delay is due to holidays and their small staff. I am just guessing they will ship out the official wave 2 orders then ship these replacements out. I will remain cautiously optimistic until I hear otherwise... but increase my polite nudges in January.

Good luck Leeway... I'll report as soon as my belt ships.... May the force be with us..

I'd say the chances of that shipping out soon are approximately 3720 to one.
