ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

I just got a refund out of the blue for $6 but it’s on a helmet I received a long time ago. I thought maybe they did some accounting and realized they overcharged me or something idk.

From halliwax earlier >

I believe these small refunds are because they over charged state tax... I was talking with another friend effected by this last week

Why wouldn't ANOVOS communicate with people that were overcharged tax to let them know why they are getting refunds? So weird!

The only thing I have ever received from Anovos is the Shocktrooper Helmet I ordered. It was in stock (per their guidelines) and I waited until it was 40% off. Then I ordered it. Still took 1 month to get to me as an in-stock and ready-to-ship item.

I did order the FOTK armor 2 years ago, but cancelled 6 months ago. I got a pretty quick refund since some one gave me the owner or owners rep name and email address.

The day that I requested a refund, I also submitted a ticket with ANOVOS describing my sequence of events and also CC'd a contact at LucasFilm. I got an e-mail today from someone at Disney that oversees the ANOVOS relationship and they have escalated my issue and will be monitoring to ensure I receive a timely refund.

We'll see what happens.

I agree Weldon,

Over 90 days for a ship to go from China to Los Angeles..... I don't think so. You can look up container shipment times from Maersk and their transit times are about 12 days from Shanghai to LA. At my work we ship product via container ship and the longest I have seen it go is about 20 days.

Something is up, probably another delay. I hope I am wrong. Their lack of communication is maddening!

What you may be missing is a variety of manufactures and separate entities may be or are involved with one product. Factory A makes one item say vacuform items, factory B makes injection molded parts but only under x size while another factory only makes injection molded parts above x size and so on, factory C does printing while a sister factory D makes the boxes said printing is applied to, factory E prints manuals.... it gets complicated quickly. Even more so when any and possibly all items are being shipped separatly en mass.
In the past ive stated my own dissatisfaction with Anovos, but some things are not as transparent as they should be.

robstyle to quote Reggie from ANOVOS on September 4th:

"The production of these items has been completed this season."

Only ANOVOS knows the true story but I don't believe that this is a kitting issue. The update from the 4th clearly stated that everyone was done and was going to be shipped.

I think there are 2 options:

1. They got the product in and discovered some flaws that had to be reworked.

or

2. The September update was just a misrepresentation and they sent that to buy some time with their customers.

I've dealt with some pretty bad 3PLs before but really, this isn't that complicated even if there are multiple manufacturers. ANOVOS sends an order to the warehouse saying, "Hey 3PL, we have 300 orders, here's the detail list."

The WMS at the warehouse at this point should be setup so when the order picker receives the order, they just follow their pick list and start filling boxes.

Where it can get a little complicated is when you come to bin replenishment but even then, they know their order quantities and they have known it for months or even years. There is something more to this than figuring out kitting.

I have a lot of experience with this as I deal with it every day with high volumes and over $100 million in inventory.

Either way, I am on track to be done with this and I consider this closed for me. Excited to get my Kylo costume with more than enough time for SDCC.

Good luck to everyone that still has an open order, I hope it is as awesome as it appeared to be.

Just a group update. Concerning the Kylo costumes I have spoken with a few people here (and one not here) and here is what we are reading: While there is no official update yet, official emails have said the following:

"This will be the only run of this product."
"They are done."
"This item is starting to be completed."
"Shipping in Winter and Spring 2019"
"official update in two weeks."

A lot of this is contradictory but it is all from the last ten days or so. Pretty f alarming.

I will say that CS rep Ryan (who has been quite nice throughout) was surprised in the sense that he was really truly expecting these things to be shipping out right now (the vibe being that everyone around him expected so too). And with that in mind he said, "maybe something came up." Not that this is a surprise with Anovos but could really be some external thing.

The most awful thing I heard is that they are "starting to be completed in waves." That goes against absolutely everything they have been saying for almost 9 months: a direct contradiction.

Anyway, just trying to group some information together.

And how long has it been since you pre-ordered?

It will be THREE YEARS in March!!! I know - I'm an optimist, right? Jeez.

Two of us here (that I know of) have cancelled in the last week.

Optimist - or simply a patient hardcore fan who was taken advantage of. Like many others here.
Wishing you a timely refund.
