oh, it's far from complete. apart from the electronics hanging out. I think this is only version 1, I've learned so much that I got wrong it needs version 2. but a video will be coming, I just have a little job with a time machine in Wales to do first.Great catch (which brand is that?). Now that your project is complete, I'm sure a pro-vid will follow![]()
as for the brand . Dark toys x red star. on ebay from china.Great catch (which brand is that?). Now that your project is complete, I'm sure a pro-vid will follow![]()
yes there is a slight curve on the door like in my version 1 model. the doors aren't effected in my new build so haven't spent any time modelling them. the only major change is the the roof height effecting the windows and the rear.Construction drawing can sometimes be misleading in terms of what the actual built props finally looked like. I‘m sure Gene Winfield didn’t follow them to the letter either but as a guideline since the technical draughtsman Bill Skinner drew his drawings as an interpretaion of Syd Mead’s renderings.
I don’t know if you noticed on the original plans that there was a slight curve to the outer door-frame panel on the drawings. Was it built straight or flat on the full size version?. There are probably endless iterations to this.
But you‘ve done a beautiful job on both versions and a mark of the great craftsperson you are to keep seeking for perfection.
sorry only just seen your post, I haven't had much free time (I've gone from giant sharks to time travel- let you know more when they come out)WASNOT SURE if i share these with you last time...
I'm thrilled and honored to have even this small bit of input on this amazing build, flimzy rocksthanks to teslabe for the screens and the tube light effects
Hi flimzy, did you ever get a chance to try out the "Arduino sketch" I sent you in a PM around the end of September ? Here is the video of it's sequence, hope it helps.so all the lights are now working just the Servos to sort out and fill the gap on the back hatch.
