Hey All,

This is my first real post on here... Hope you all enjoy :)

I had seen the latest Dredd movie and instantly fell in love with the new Lawgiver. I had to have one on my mantle... After searching over the forums and the internet.. I decided to get some parts laser cut and see if I could get something together.

Its still a work in progress. Any tips or pointers would be great. :) It only took a few hours to glue and fill. Still more sanding and weathering to do I think. Also have the muzzle to make and poss. a silencer.

Cheers all

Wow! That came together really really nice! Looking forward to seeing the final one after you get it finished.

Nice build, coming together very well. Dimension, look spot on to my eyeballs.

Personally I would cover the area in front of the trigger guard with a flat piece, so it's completely flat. Also try to line up with piece above. As in the pictures. It's a single angled line from just in front of the slide release.

Oh and don't forget the sights and what the greeble is in the middle.
But other than that You've done a great job.

PS where did you get the display panel. It looks great.

Wow, that data plate looks really good.
What kind of data/program is required to design parts for laser cutting?

any chance we could get a mini tutorial for that LED window printout and the plastic cover? It looks so clean and life like! gracias amigo!

Cheers for all the comments guys. :) I thought it might just get lost in the thread. :)

@TRT - Started to re-jig the trigger surround. It was prob the one part I wasn't really happy with. Measurements were off by a few mm.. Fixing it tho :)

@Fly4v - I just line draw it all up in CorelDraw x3. I get my old boss to cut it on his laser cutter. Pretty much just a laser plotter. :) He backs off the power for the "engrave" sections. The whole MKII is made from 3mm and 1.5mm PVC. Nice and cheap. :) I can release the printouts in a PDF if anyone wants them.?

@Rikarus - Its honest just a printed sticker. Black background with a bright cyan for teh text. Then a clear piece of 3mm PVC on top. Nothing to special... hahhahah. Wish I could give more detail but that's all it is. :)

Cheers again all :)

Hi Skeg

Didn't want to seem to critical, you doing an excellent job on this build. :thumbsup
Have you thought about releasing as kit?

Any chance of getting a pdf of all the parts and a scan of the display? :cool

Cheers for all the input. I'll try to release a PDF tonite (Australia Time). Bare in mind, you will have to do ur best to piece it all together. :) It'll have a few pages, that I will brake down into parts. :) And then the over all shots. I may colour code too. see how I go.

Cheers again for the great input. :) Its a nice welcome to the Board. :)

This is the greatest thing since the Quest Pulse Rifle template.

If I can't find an engraver/cutter locally then I will use the templates on the sheet styrene leftovers from the pulse rifle build.
The data plate will then have to be outsourced as a name tag.

Glad you like it mate. ;-) i have no reason to hold this stuff just to me. its a community after all. :)

People who share are just too cool.thanks for the pdf. looks fantastic...now I have to put something else on my to buy list.this list is getting LARGE...lol:thumbsup
