Just received this crystal chamber and my Roman's Mk I (static) in the mail today. Might I inquire if anyone knows what thread/size the two large screws are that will replace the threaded rod running through the static lightsaber currently in order to allow me to install the crystal chamber?

Going to hit up home depot on the way home and it would be handy to already know what i'm looking for.

i believe they were 3/8-16 thread bolts, either 2 inch or 2 1/2 inch long. and a few washers..

i am a visual learner so i threw this together to try and help others understand how to convert a static Romans Obi wan to except Spirits crystal chamber, very easy to do!

I dont know if this is the right place to post this but i converted my static romans to except this crystal chamber. i had to get

1) booster washer (go to hardware store with booster and try and find one that fits snug, i had no problem finding one)
1) 3/8-16 x2" bolt
1) 3/8-16 x2-1/4" bolt

take it all apart, and gather your pieces

grab you washers and bore them out to except the 2 bolts

before boring on left, after boring on right

slide 2" bolt into washer, and insert into booster

here it is sticking out, just enough. i thought the bolt was going to be too long, i bought more washers to space the bolt inside the booster. but in the end all i needed was 1 washer. the 2" bolt sticks out just enough thread to grab the sink knob.

now the emitter, separate the emitter

grab the 2-1/4" long bolt, and put that up the wind vane

it was a snug fit at the neck of the bolt, it wouldnt fit all the way up, so i threw the bolt in the drill, spun it while applying 150grit sand paper. this took maybe 30 seconds before it could fit, very easy

all together ready to strip it all apart now and weather the heck out of this thing!

UPDATE: ​i have received a few PM's about this post so i figured i would update it with all the new links hosted by IMGUR, may photo bucket burn in hell. Anyway, i updated all my pictures, but for the guys who were on the early runs with the electronics it seems that Rudy has lost his picture of the wiring diagram. thanks to photo bucket again... so digging through my old hard drive i found the picture i used to wire it up.

I think if I were to do it again, I would use a 2-1/4” bolt in the booster as well. There is barely any thread in the sink knob with 1 washer and a 2” bolt

I get it to work, but I think it would work easier just with 2, 2-1/4” bolts

Apologies for the necro, but hoping to find some experienced advice from others with Rudy's chamber on this hilt.

The chamber fit into my hilt great, but I am having a small issue when I tighten the bottom fins/pommel. Shown in photo below, the clamp cylinder gets pushed up a bit when I screw together and the vent cutout becomes obscured by the chamber lip inside.

If I try an leave it positioned correctly, and tighten the transistor screws down to alleviate any play, the bottom fins get stopped from fully tightening because the clamp is too far down and blocking the last couple threads.

Wondering if anyone ran into this issue or has advice? Thanks.
