ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion - Three ANH Greeblies Found

Re: ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion

Does your flash hider match the real deal? In other words if we have a flash hider already will the adapter and barrel fit?

Re: ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion

The inside diameter and the threading should be pretty close to the real deal FHs. But recently we've realized that the inside depth, overall length and possibly the smallest inside diameter at the base of the cone appear to also vary a little from FH to FH.

So the large diameter of the boosters should fit well with real flash hiders, but the front small part of the booster that fits inside at the base of the cone may or may not fit great depending on your FH.

I just tried the booster in the replica MG81 Steel FH I have and it fits fine.

I don't know if it would fit in other versions unless it was accurately modeled off a genuine Mg81 FH.

That's good news, as that is what I'll be using. I assume you are referring to the one Machina Atrium did a few years ago.

Any new updates?

Re: ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion

The prototyping is taking a tad longer than we expected. But no worries, everything's still moving! :):thumbsup

Re: ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion

When all the prototyping is done, will there be some kind of kit available?
I apologize if this question has been asked already.

Take your time. I need some time to build up the cheddar to afford the million and a half projects I have going all at once! :thumbsup

Re: ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion

I've reached the point where I'm using soda bottle caps & garden hose caps to try & make a flash hider...so I'm REALLY anxious to see someone start producing this stuff soon. :D

Re: ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion

Disregard my post, below. Finally found it here on the RPF after lots o' searching:

Anyone have schematics/diagrams/measurements for the scope mount on the hero blaster? Try as I might, I can't seem to locate that detail anywhere, (although I'm certain I've seen images showing 1:1 scale plans)...

Thanks in advance for any information/assistance,

Lharles

Glad to see you found what you were looking for. But be careful though, that link leads to one of the domains created when the RPF was hacked.

Yes there is a run planned fairly soon for these parts and an interest thread will be started in the JY once all of the prototypes are corrected and finished up. :thumbsup

Re: ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion

Here's an update of parts:

Antenna and T Track. Not great pics but I will retake and post with parts on frame to see how they look.

Note that we decided to make the antenna and track MerrSonn length so they can be trimmed to fit individual (s) models.

I hope to assemble and cast a "sight unit" just as an extra.

Also note that I had one antenna made sans rings just to see how it looked.

Looking great, Pat!

Actually it's pretty cool seeing what t-track looks like in aluminum. :D

Re: ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion

Very cool.

How would the antennas be attached to the T-Track?
Glue or 2 part epoxy?
