ANH green belt lights found.

On a slightly different note, the size of the cutout slot on the boxes doesn't match. The lower photograph is far closer to the original than the middle. The space from the lower part of the box to the opening doesn't look right, as well as the height of the rectangle.

Or am I seeing things? :confused

Nope you ain't seeing things, but SOMEBODY else are. :lol

O.K.,

only 2 cents more from me now....

Dan it would be also possible that this would be the reason why I did not tell anything about the lights I found. Last year at the same time we have had that special thing between Gino and SithLord about there ANH suits. Maybe I only was looking to do not the same with the lights as they did at that time.

I found that lights after I was looking to built my ANH suit and I totaly liked what I found and for me they are dead on to the original ones. If Thomas means his lights are more correct than the ones you found and I used also fine why not......everyone could use the lights he liked. For my personal thoughts that lights I used are the best ones you could get and I think my ANH belt is one of the bests I saw for a long time but that is my thought.

I did not see the original belt in live till now only on totaly crap pics so for me there is no realy good source to proof me wrong or right and that also is the fact for Thomas.

Greetings Guido

Hi Guido, your belt looks great, I'm sorry I should have mentioned it earlier. That's exactly the look we're going for. Thanks again for your input. :)

Guido, I fully understand what you are saying, anybody can use what they see fit, but when it comes to claming that one is right about what they are saying, well then, as I see it, you need to back it with facts and evidence. It can be very real for SL, and I respect that, but that dosen't make it real to others, and the history shows that to many claim alot, without backing their opinions with evidence. I chalange that attitude, why?? Becourse this is a comunity, a place for sharing, and not gloteing.

I agree and I've tried to back it up with the closeup showing the counts of the rows/columns and the other comparisons showing the heights...that's the best I can do....sorry if it seems to you to be gloating on my part.

They do seem a tad too tall but that could be perspective of the pix. Apart from that, I gotta say that they are the closest found item yet....

I agree Kev...they are very close and a great find....I just like to nit-pick ;). Sorry if it doesn't always come across the right way....

NOTHING wrong with Nit-picking, I am like that my self. We just need to get all the info, out, to back our claimes, nothing else. If the community benefits from it, we all win.

Personaly, I rather be remembered, as the guy, whom shared, and helped out in any way that he could, than the one whom keept it all to him self.

Think this calls for a group hug. I love this place. The passion for subjects here is amazing especially for a character over 30 years old. I know we'll never get to know all the little details that went into making this awesome creation, but hey let's all have fun trying to figure them out.

Dan you will always be remembered as the guy who found and posted the most accurate belt box lights. Cheers man. :thumbsup

SL, could you post close up comps of your lights with the ones Dan found and explain why yours are better and/ or more accurate (if they are I'm assuming). What about a possible comp with Dan's , yours and any underground photos of the real ANH lights you may have?

I agree, from the picture shown, that they are tall... but come on... if they are attached from the rear of the belt box cover... then wouldn't it be possible that they didn't shove it all the way through, to the base... man... the fact that they are taller is purely a matter of assembly and not a clear indication that they are the wrong lights.

Love the comparison of the belts though... very nice. ALL of you. :thumbsup

Good point...I don't know how they were attached to the boxes...or how much depth would be under the box surface...I was just going by how much seems to be sticking out from the surface. The ones on mine were custom made from scratch, not a found item....maybe the maker will chime in at some point about them and the reference he used....but that's up to him.

EDIT: I don't think mine are necessarily "better", I just have a different opinon about the row/column number and height...but my own boxes have gone through a few evolutionary changes so it's never perfect :). If I show photo comparisons I do so to let you guys be the judge...

Mine is just 7 mm high/tall.

How high is yours SL ?
How high is yours Guido ?

It could seem like that guidos is a bit higher than that.

Dan

Hey Dan,

mine are also exactly 7mm like yours. They are absolutly identical to yours. I will get some new ones on thuesday morning and than I will make pics from the lights only than you see that mine and yours are absolutly the same.

Greetings Guido
