ANH & ESB Vader - almost done! updated 6.10.09 -glove pics post #177

I vote for ANH for one reason. I prefer the overall look of the ESB Vader. However, that hammered look to the ANH helmet, the drastic asymmetry, and rough nature of it make it look like a helmet that has seen battles. It has a history to it in a way. It also is the most pissed off looking of all three Vaders, which I like. I think it's attributed the widow's peak. The ESB and ROTJ Vaders have a more austere quality, an arrogance to the look. ANH looks like an angry badass. ANH all the way!

Love your work Gino. Really looking forward to seeing the new thread, Hope I dont miss it. Could I ask that you place a link to it in here when it goes up please ? :thumbsup

So much for getting the hands attached in a timely manner.
Had a couple other projects come up that needed immediate attention.
Royal guard costume finally got started and took up quite a bit of time.

I didn't forget though.

i vote Empire. shiny and polished is how Vader is meant to be. in Star Wars his armor was battle worn and, posted as Tarkin's subordinate, he didn't take the time to polish it. Empire and Jedi are his "That's LORD Vader to you, admiral." armour. and that's the iconic Vader to me.

Absolutly Stunning G.
Now what? it seems that your lifes project has come to an end. You have achived perfection, so whats next?
Oh yeah ANH ALL THE WAY.

Appreciated.

Actually, I'm gearing up to finish off my troopers once and for all, along with tie pilot, x-wing pilot, and at-at pilot (all at the same time).

Royal guard is in development right now.
I've been working on ESB Fett for awhile now, but it will be quite a long time before I'm ready to show anything on him.

Sounds like some very cool projects, especialy the ESB Fett, can't wait to see that one, but will it have the same passion and attention as the Vaders?
Your Vader passion is well known ;)

It will have the same attention, but it will never be on the same level of accuracy because there aren't very many (known) cast off original fett costume pieces available. And even though a lot of original greeblies have been identified and sourced, they take up only a very small percentage of the overall costume. Certainly helps, but the greater majority of the fett costume will have to be scratch made, and scratch made no matter how well done, can never be on the same level as cast from original.
