I have this crazy theory: This device was made from two view angle finders, connected at the middle. Is that crazy?
didn't find any commercial one looking just like the prop. Or maybe, inspired on one of them. What do you think?

I don’t think so, I used to own one many years ago. Was Russian military surplus and was enamelled a dark grey colour but otherwise looked identical. I’ve been trying to find it since the episode in old moving boxes.
 
No it was all in russian, but it was 1950-70 vintage rather than earlier. It was a spotting scope, pocket sized with a small leather case. You rotated it 90 degrees to 'use' it.
 
If you do a Google image search of 'folding monocular' there are quite a few of that style, but I can't see any that match the Andor one. Phil's probably correct about it being vintage, it is Star Wars ;)
 
As is often the case, it's the rarest version of a vintage piece. I identified it and I've been trying to find a correct one for a week. They exist. I found pics and info. They're just rare.
It's also modified. If you look at the objective end it telescopes out whereas real ones do not.
 
So far, I found a great website with 1000 photographs or more about miniature binoculars. Oldest monocular part used on a spotting scope is this type. More examples here:

Since this part could be unscrew and replaced with any other scope, It is very possible that larger scope belongs to another device.

The shape is there, I mean, from the crappy screen shot I took, It is there. Eyecup knurling, that I can't tell. Will looking for reference photos

I believe they left at least one maybe 2 sides of the yellow part unpainted. You can see one side in the palm of his hand on the top photo.
These were also available in red (most common) and orange. Same Russian company, ZOMZ, a few different marking styles.
The monocular site refers to optional lens doublers...
"The monocular has a 5x magnification. If wanted, you could screw extra lenses like a doubler or close-up lenses to the 28mm objective."
The only ones I've seen so far screw onto the end of the objective, not the middle like the telescoping extension on the prop.
