Re: Voting is here, for the 2009 $1. Store lightsaber contest.
And some of the parts you may never see at a dollar tree near you. Not only do I find that different dollar trees carry a few different items, but some folks shopped at local (to them) Mom and pop dollar stores, and keep in mind it was an international contest, so some of these are from "Pond land" and places like that.
But they all did mange to meat the budges restraints, and many of them did theirs for far less.
I am just stunned at the attention to detail so many have shown. Wall I never wanted to underestimate my fellow RPFers, I never, ever expected sabers of this quality, considering the items they had to work with.
I truely hope each of these sabers will hold a prized place in each builders collections, but I have know doubt, that if they really wanted to, they could sell them for a massive profit on ebay. I mean, custom, and cut away, sabers have sold for quite a pretty penny in the past. (fI you do sell your sabers though, You may not want to tell the buyers that it was made for under $20. :lol)
I like #18.
Nice job on these! I never saw some of these parts while browsing the stores, and never would have thought to use some of them as some of you did.
