An RPF Open Source 5 ft Millennium Falcon Build/Reference Thread. All Are Welcome

So I finally got a little station setup. No more crawling on the floor. Lol. Made some quick copies that came out pretty well.

Could this little guy in grey be an airplane seat?
Doesn't that just look like a shelf clip (albeit a little thin for one) with a rivet through it? I think they do sell those clips with holes instead of pins so you can screw them in last I looked at the hardware store. But I don't think I've seen them that thin. The 45's being on the bottom corners of that would make me look at those first probably, or angle brackets.

I'm still trying to find this little guy. What do you guys think about the scale? 1/48 or 1/72?
Thanks!

So what's going on here? This pit doesn't have the Carro panel on the side you can see in most pics. However there seems to be another one on the other side. Is this the other Carro panel? Also the model has a piece on top of the square Mustang piece I've never seen before. Anyone have a reference for it?

Hey John... Going through these Nichimo's today gave me an idea. Maybe a good one, maybe a bad one? Haha! I'm pretty sure the springs from the Honda CB750 are used somewhere, although I haven't confirmed that yet myself (Didn't I see a spring inner Mandible, Starboard? I don't remember atm. There's one somewhere.) So they were using these kit parts to their advantage we all assume, and it is the logical thing to do. Use what you have. Couldn't other parts from these donor kits be used as well?

I'm not sure how much time they put into the little things while building it originally, but looking at the motor mounts for the Centurion's today gave me a scratch my head and "I wonder?" moment. Could they have done something like this:

Maybe not from this kit, but another kit from the build? Or another part we haven't come across yet?

The metal is just shy of 1/32" thick, so it is pretty thin, and so is the bracket in that photo. There are already holes drilled into it. But the brackets would need to be cut out of the entire assembly. I don't know if they did this, but it I might have done it myself if I needed something in a pinch. But then again, I'm not that bright and the hardware store is just 5 minutes from my house! And I to this point haven't seen too many brackets, if any that thin. I don't know where that photo you posted is from location wise yet, so just judging scale by the photo itself.

What does everyone think? I can keep my mouth shut, but I can't turn my brain off! Haha!

The springs are on the inner mandibles. They come from one of the big car kits I believe.

As far as the other section, that’s the rear, bottom of the Falcon. Anything is possible. I’ve seen some small electronics L clips that are close to what’s there, but nothing 100%. I’m still leaning toward a kit part of some kind.

Thought I saw springs underneath all the parts on the underside rear too (remember thinking "there's springs all over the place"), but think that is plastic spring, molded from one of the kits (1/2 a kit part) up underneath there. Ventral rear - more Chieftain/Centurions back there?! Ugh! I've had enough of those today.

So the old maps have the two circled areas as being the Hasegawa Sherman. I'm not seeing it though. Thoughts?
