AMT Star Destroyer

Hola Amigos :)
Been away from all this good stuff for quite some time now, had a bereavement, a couple of bouts with some debilitating illnes and the associated aftermath and cooling down period!

Getting everything back on track now and keen to get rockin on this build as it's starting to take up space I need to free for other projects!

Updates to follow soon.

Nice work! :thumbsup

I can definately see the fun in taking something like this kit and making it shine! Do you scratchbuild models also?

Hello, sorry I've been off for so long, it's been a rough couple of years unfortunately but I'm glad to say I recently dusted off my tool-kit and I'm back to work on this little beauty! :)

Thank you NAZGÛL, I've pottered with a few random scratches but only stuff I was making up as I went along. My big plan is to scratch a large Star Destroyer and I actually got this kit to check some of my dimensions before started cutting, then fixing up the AMT became a big project of it's own! :)

Fair warning--I wouldn't trust any of the MPC/AMT/Ertl kits to have accurate dimensions.

Aw man, I killed myself to try and find something for my domes...Not sure how big they are in that link...math is my weak point, so I wouldn't even know what 1/4222 is.
1/4222 is the guesstimated scale of the AMT/Ertl Star Destroyer kit. Considering they're designed specifically for that kit, they should be reasonably accurate as far as size/scale. They're out of stock anyway, and Starship Modeler is dependent upon their suppliers for restocks, so making your own was probably faster anyway.
