I purchased this kit a while back and now have time to work on it, and hopefully do it justice.
The kit itself is nice, but I’ve built so many Bandai Star Wars kits that I’m spoiled rotten when I go back to these older kits that have no where near the detail and impeccable molding. It’s a great start though!
After lots of fitting, sanding, and fitting and sanding, I put together the wings and the main body. I added a number of greeblies, antenna wire, photoetch, and scribed additional panel lines everywhere. Also rebuilt the weapons on the ends of the wings, mounted a couple of spare guns from the Bandai AT-AT kit, and gave it a couple of chin guns as well.
I want the color of this thing to be fairly monotone, and keep it from looking like the latest BoP model rolling off the line at Kronos; going for a rather beastly look as Klingons likely don’t the time to polish it up.
Here‘s what I have so far, and I’m looking forward to painting the underwings, and rebuilding the rear engine as it is not one solid piece as represented in this kit.
