Thanks for the vote of confidence TJack, I'm loving/been following your face-shells btw!
If there was enough interest I guess I could knock up a few pulls for those interested...

know, just for sizing reasons and making sure the suit fitted I didn't add the centre back zip or waist line invisible zip purely for speed. I'm totally happy with the fit.

This is really beautiful work, but I will add that the brickwork on the blue sections on the film suit is much darker. On the practical suit it's the same gunmetal grey/black as the webs. On the CGI suit it's blue, but a darker blue than the fabric. Again, really clean work! Loving it.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was wondering what seemed a bit off.
You are still the king of clarification for spidey suits haha

I actually think it's more than just the brickwork. The blue fabric overall on the movie suit seems darker, almost navy blue and the screening is color-matched so that it relies on light mainly for definition and highlighting.

You've got the right idea in process at least oracle, looking forward to seeing the rest!

Yeah, the light brings out the slight metallic sheen the new suit has. It's a very dynamic material.

The red, too, is much darker than a standard primary red on the film suit, though this is tough to see from candid set photos or studio shots, because the red spectrum tends to oversaturate sensors on digital cameras.
This is one of the best shots at illustrating the depth of the color, since spidey is holding a simple primary red garment (mask?) in his hand.

All I can do is agree with you and ask, "Where is that web really coming from..."

Come to think of it, Oracle's suit kinda looks like a comic-color version of the ASM2 suit. I think it looks good with those colors.

It must be hard to find the movie-quality fabrics. The red does look somewhat metallic too. Some day when I finish my Mk42 in the next 30 years (at the rate I'm going...) I'll have a stab at Spider Man next. All these threads are more inspiration.

Oh yea, I think Oracle's suit is gorgeous the way it is. It's just that he asked for feedback, and if he's going for accuracy (which he's certainly done with the techniques, pattern, and zippers) then the colors are quite a bit different from the screen-used pieces.

I was like NSFW? pshhh... Then I watched it and half way through had to shut it off and look around to make sure no one was watching....
hahahaha
