Almost Human

Now that i know the episodes are being aired out of order, i realise why i keep thinking that the little things like the interaction between Dorian & kennex is feeling a little hit and miss, one episode there's a brothers type of moment, the next, Dorian is just a machine, very annoying and as far as i can tell, serving no purpose.

I like that there still cops who investigate, even though theres a lot of tech around, they still have to do a job.

Think i will stick with it, almost sure i have heard "Perps", "Cubes" & "I am the Law".......although the last could just be wishful thinking :)

Would be nice if they fix the episode order for the dvd/bluray release.

Right. I'd be totally hooked if it had a linear storyline. Give me a villain or group I can hate consistently, not these small-time criminals that just keep getting busted week after week.

I still haven't missed an episode yet, so I'm still holding out hope.

Same issue with a lot of shows. Smallville had it's "freak of the week" :facepalm

I hope so. If not, I'll just watch them in the order they were originally planned manually.

I don't care if JJ says the new order doesn't detract from the show. I still say it does. Sometimes characters and certain interactions are just "off." A few episodes REALLY stick out. You can tell there would have been better overall continuity if they were viewed earlier on.

Great to see John Larroquette back as well. I've been a fan of his since the Night Court days and seeing his new character in this has me really excited for future episodes.

I'm a couple of episodes behind. Maybe I'll wait until the end of the season and then just watch the whole thing in order.

OK so JJ Abrams is basically flipping me a giant finger doing whatever he wants because he is JJ Abrahms...Seriously? I was wondering why the show was all over the place and just read the above. The show is great, a little robocop, meets Dredd, meets Lethal Weapon. Now I am seeing, oh it may HELP ratings to air it out of order? Uhhh no, hate to say it but it won't it will just **** off the people that liked it to begin with.

It's my understanding that Fox execs were the ones who decided to air it out of order, not JJ.

OK that makes more sense...Is there a listing of how the episodes are supposed to be listed? They are on demand and I would like to watch them in the proper order.

JJ is also just an executive producer. All that means is that his money is going into it, and he has some sort of say in story, but it is not his work per se. This is one of those shows that I really enjoy, but because it's on Fox it will last one season. I have heard rumours of cancellation, but that was only rumour. I wish it were on sy fy, then at least it has a chance of lasting at least 5 seasons.

I have to say, I think the Dorian/Danica fight was my favorite moment of the series so far. And I thought the Kennex Kick was a little ridiculous until I remembered his synthetic leg. Was there a previous mention of the wall? Suddenly there's all this ominous wall talk like we're all supposed to know how serious it is, and I don't remember anything about it.

This episode order fiasco has me baffled. "Perception" (1.10) is WAY out of order (should be 1.04), and it's jarringly noticeable. We've already seen Kennex at the recollectionist's office, but suddenly it's as if this is his first time. (Didn't Kennex visit during the pilot?) Despite what Wyman says about interchangeability, the fact is that they wrote the season with an arc, and changing episodes around messes with the whole vibe of the show. Ridiculous. Maybe Wyman pissed off some studio exec and this is how he/she is getting back at him.

Thankfully, at least the last few episodes of the season will be in order.

Did the episode with Carano aired already ? Something odd is going on here, the episode I watched this week had no Carano in it, it was about a murderous home security system and hackers ?? Did I miss one ?
Mixing up these episodes really is a bad idea !

This week was Disrupt (killer house). Last week was Perception (designer drug), and the week before that was Unbound (Carano).

I thought the casting of the SAM hologram/robot was pretty good, but I don't like that when robots are programmed by the bad guy, suddenly they take on evil expressions. It would be much creepier for SAM to say hello and start thrashing Dorian with a pleasant smile on his face.

When Kennex and Stahl were going undercover to the hacker party, I expected the cheesiest undercover TV hacker getups ever. They looked pretty good, but I loved that everybody kept making fun of Kennex's outfit.

Anybody else still watching? Despite the appearance of Michael Eklund (who was great in The Divide), this episode ("Beholder") was probably my least favorite so far. The chrome thing just felt odd, and the nanobot injection/extraction was preposterous. The twist/climax was touching, but overall I was bored. I hope they kick it up again in upcoming episodes.
