The "harness" ( don't know what it's called on backpacks) will be used as supports for the Gundam Backpack, make things short, don't mount it directly on the back. . .buckles will help the supports also.

Hey guys .sorry for not updating since last may 13. I've been busy redesigning for the next costume to be made. and also done some changes/maintenance to this costume too.. Full armor in prototype game. :D

I'm looking for fully unfolded pdos of a zaku 2 body, I've already got the helmet made which turned out pretty nice, I used truck bed liner spray(which is a poly-vinyl spray) in order to cut down on cost since fiberglass and bondo are pretty expensive lol. It'd be ridiculous to try and glass a full body. Anyways I was gonna see if anyone here has tried using flex seal or any of the off brand versions on anything and how did it turn out? The truck bed liner is a good cheap alt but it shows everything(including outlines of tape) so if flex seal would do a better job than that is probably invest in some dollar gen brand of it


By the way: this is gonna be a stand up prop for my mancave instead of wearable armor so pdos don't have to be scaled perfectly
 
This is my progress so far of chars zaku. I actually have it covered with truck bed liner ad painted red now but I'll have to wait to post pictures. I'm kinda thinking about repainting it black and grey instead of doing chars zaku not sure yet though.

Awesome build.. D: can't wait to see more of it..
I'm using foam for my gundam 00 to avoid using of any hardening.. but my friend told me to use white glue instead of primer paint..
It turns out great actually.. not only white glue acts as primer but also hardener/flexible. but the only thing with the white glue is that you need to focus while brushing it to avoid formation of bubbles. 3 to 5 coats of white glue..
Oh by the way are you planning any gundam build after the zaku? i might got some pdo files here.. im also planning to make the gundam for standalone one..
I've been away from rpf for some time.. and need to halt building 00 to make way for mk 42 iron man.. since 42 is almost finish i might go back to gundam and after that i will build the shinanju. :D
Anyway if you need anyfiles gundam related i got some..
raging from gundam 00 s1 and s2 to its awakening movie..
 
did you already done with unfolding with zaku2's body? I'll try to unfold it.
this will be my first pepakura unfolding. but if you want i can also unfold it to foam.
 
lol.. if im not mistaken its from norwegian word for infatuation/affection/love.

So to combine everything it means "i love you"

I havent gotten the unfolding done yet, but I'd be eternally grateful if you could lol!! I mostly use cardboard to cut down on cost(I work at walmart so lots of free cardboard lol) but if you want to do it in foam so that it might be convenient for others that would be using foam that'd be cool. I'll post some pictures of the helmet painted and with the visor in after a while. I might try the glue idea out though to give it some extra strength and to cover up some of the lines that still show through.

oh yea, I saw the shinanju pdo's. It looks like a pretty cool build but I think this is going to be my only full body build since ill be using it as a display piece. I was thinking about making some different helmets that i could interchange every now and then. I'll have to post pictures of the man cave after i get done closing on the house and making repairs and such. It'll be a fallout style room blending old and new technology, and a mobile suit would fit in perfectly since they are kind of "bulky" lol. And if my budget allows it I plan on making my projector lift up out of something, not sure which piece of furniture ill use yet though
