OK, I really liked that. But it was kinda confusing.

What are they trying to say? That Flynn IS dead? Time to move on in a new era for ENCOM?

Or keep hope that Flynn is alive?

And I thought it was supposed to be Quorra that rode the bike up to the press?

Is that why Sam has his helmet on till in the elevator? Maybe it was a reshoot and it was Quorra riding up but they wanted to change the scene to Sam?

Either way I think the next instalment is gonna rock. I think they tried to teeter on being old school and a brand new thing with Legacy. I think they have listened to fans and learned what worked and what didn't. Hopefully the story will be a bit more solid for the haters out there.

Anyone know what the deal is with TR3N? Are they writing? Surely these scenes are not from the next movie but a bridge of sorts. Yet they call it a TRON 3 teaser?

No. NOWHERE is it being officially called a Tron 3 teaser. This is complete exaggerated speculation. It is billed as "The Next Day" on all official releases. A supplement. Nothing more.

I think they have listened to fans and learned what worked and what didn't.

And no. There actually IS official word of what was shot for this. Not just fan speculation. Olivia Wilde DID shoot a small scene riding up on Sams bike to meet the press.

The name of the video linked was added by the uploader, not Disney. This specific video is called "The Next Day: Flynn Lives Revealed."

Of course I know about the additional footage mentioned in the reports, of Quorra's scene and Dillingers Jr messaging his father, but until these are released we have no way of knowing their intent.

And to think that any of this content is somehow responsive of criticism from fans to legacy is ... well, impossible. It was shot before the film's release.

Oh I thought it was shot shortly after the release so I am just remembering wrong. Ialso heard they changed some of the ending last minute after reactions to private screenings months before the release. (may have heard that wrong too?)

But no need to be so condescending brother. I wasn't trying to state FACT. Just hopeful opinion I guess. :confused

No condescension. I'm not the one condemning the thing for not being something it was never meant to be. It's kind of a bummer that these things leak out, and get presented everywhere out of context.

Hopefully the other scenes you spoke of WILL be on the DVD.

And hopefully they don't rush the next movie to get it out there. But at the same time I hope we don't have to wait 4-5 years. Can't have it both ways though. Cranked out yet good! LOL!

I first saw the film and was like, okay, visually stunning, story okay, score excellent.

since then, the film has grown on me. yes the story is simple but flows along, fills in the gaps and the daft punk score is just fantastic.

there are not many scores that standalone outside a movie for you to listen to. and I rate it way up there with john williams and jerry goldmsith for talent.

can't wait for the blu ray. just hope the making of stuff on the discs is good. I've seen the two bits about cast and visuals on youtube, but hope there is more to come.

I found the art of tron book a let down. I was hoping for something more like the Rinzler star wars book

And for those wondering what it means: With the final shot (with Sam flashing the "Flynn Lives" T-shirt), it could mean that as him showing that he has finally embraced who he was and that Encom now has a new hope of becoming a better version of itself, or that maybe... His father could still be around (that could be what he downloaded onto the chip at the end of the movie, as the final moment we see Kevin Flynn, the track composed by Daft Punk that plays is titled "Flynn Lives", and it could be that a part of Kevin Flynn is on that chip, just waiting to be "rerezzed").

It was clearly Sam (or at least a male double) driving up and getting off. Maybe the actor doesn't know how to ride a motorcycle.
