Hey all

Got a newsletter from Spacearts and found this kit in it:

Alien: Female Alien Mother » SPACEart

What do YOU model experts think?
While the craftmanship seems to be great, the model itself is ..well...a bit dusturbing :lol Can´t say if I find it cool or disgusting :confused

That's a model that's been around for awhile. Originally sculpted by Susumu Sugita and released by Jaguar models IIRC. Recasts abound of this one.

In any case, I've painted one before, and it turns out pretty cool, if a little disturbing. The female parts are......how shall we say.....very nicely done.

I checked about SPACEart before. The word I heard is that they don't sell recasts - at least not anymore, as I did see the usual suspects on there once and the Atlier-It kits at a really low cost.

I see a number of figures that don't have the original makers names given.
I would venture to guess they are recasts weather the seller knows it or not.

2 of their Nautilus subs listed are recasts.

Ive got one of the original kits from Jaguar of this piece. The sculpting and castings are incredible. Ive been wanting to paint it but every time i pull it out of the closet, my wife makes a face and back in it goes.

Shes wants to know how im gonna explain to our 6yo daughter what it is im painting. :lol

Just call it "nightmare queen". It comes for little children in their dreams and suck the life out of them if they don't eat their veggies.
