Alginate question for ear casting

Has anyone tried dental grade alginate when casting body parts? Specifically Jeltrate Chroma .

I have cheaper access to this than I do smooth-on alginate, and was wondering if anyone had experience using it before I do a test cast of a finger or something.

Thanks.

Do a test on your hand and then if that's okay maybe on your own face or neck before trying it on someone else. I've used dental alginate before and it works fine but it can cause a tingling sensation due to the mint in the alginate.I haven't used that specific one though so do a test first

I used dental alginate for ear casting before. Works just fine. And he's right about the minty tingle. :lol

Yeah used minty dental alginate on whole face, skin was fine but eyes were a bit cool and breezy feeling,
