Accurized 1/144 Fine Molds Millennium Falcon

Here's the latest work. I have the cockpit painted. I still need to touch it up a bit and glue the seats in. All the lights where drilled out and touched with Tamiya clear paint.

Lighting on the cockpit looks very detailed and great! It may just be the pics and the exposure, but my only suggestion would be to dim the lights down some-- maybe throw in a resistor or use a smaller power source (I'm no electronics wizard).

Love the extra detailing on it too! Great job!

Awwwesome scratchy, the cockpit looks 10 times bigger than it realy is. Tubing is comming along nicely.

Ozzy

Thanks Ozzy, I think I'll scratch a strut for the engine flaps and cast enough for the engine section. The struts that are there are an eyesore.

:eek :eek :eek :eek

:cheers

Thank you DS Operative. I have a resistor on it, however, the cockpit does look brighter in the image.

Thanks for the compliment on the detailing,... but it's not done yet :facepalm

Isn't all that cockpit glass dangerous?
I mean one blaster hit or space rock and Chewie will decompress and 'splode!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I repainted the cockpit, touched it up, made it look a little better and I drilled out the instrument lights. This time increasing the amount. I also added the four cockpit chairs.

I cut a piece out of a resin TIE wing and inserted it into one of the engine vents. I think I'll have these placed in each until I can learn how to make my own PE then I'll change them out then.

The two parts highlighted yellow and pink will be replaced. The intial 51 part that I scratched is just a bit too big. The engine flap struts that are moulded to the model are too big as well. I poured rubber over my parts and I should have the new struts on the next post.

Thanks for following along.

sqbiedoo, the highlighted parts are the next scratched pieces I'm working on. The pink part, will be a replacement part that I had made earlier. The current one was too big.

Some of you guys acquired some of the parts that I made for my Falcon. Most of them can be placed on the Falcon just by looking at the thread.

These ones, I decided to make a part map for. The locations are highlighted in blue and pink on the grayscale image. Going from left to right.

–The first part is a missing part that needs to be trimmed and added to the side of the mandible.

–The round piece gets added to the back of the docking ring box.

–The other four, are replacement parts near the engines

There's a bigger image on the "Scratchy on Facebook" page (below)
