blimey so much since I last looked in on you Katsu...I needed a very thin aluminum sheet for the additional panel with rivets for detailing. There was no such thin aluminum at any shop so I used the aluminum can for this. That was about 0.1 mm thick. Yes, the aluminum can is useful but for very limited purposes.
Ship him to me!
Why cats love those cardboard boxes?

The rifles are brilliant and great idea to extend the seats out, and wow on those padded seats out of food packing...
Talking of packing - how many tins of Budweiser did you have to drink to construct your craft?
The Sukiyaki box was from a seller on Amazon UK, based in Japan - of which I bought my Bandai Star Wars (see pic)
they were the cheapest and fastest out of all the JPN sellers
I'm seeing snow on the news hitting your country, have you had any yet?

Really fine work Katsu-san! Oh, so looking forward to the painting of the soldiers compartment! I do love the look of primer in the morning! Primer coat and Katsu crafting update addition fix at the same time? That will be a good day!
That work bench has a rich heritage. I can appreciate the sentiment it would carry for me as some of my crafting tools were passed to me from my grandpa. I think of him each time I use them. A nod of honor to your friend Mr. Taketsugu.
And don't worry about patent infringement on the foam edge rounding technique. Patent ran out long ago and its public domain now.

Cheers Hagoth, thank you for your comment, its a bit crammed with odds and ends on the shelf, but it was only supposed to be a stop-gap place for them (four years ago!)
The SR-71 model is about 40 years old, it was my brothers and has survived well. We used to visit RAF Mildenhall Airshows in the late 80's early 90's so we were lucky to see one of these fly in 1984, I also saw it fly over our school with fighter escorts, surprisingly found some of the display footage of it on the web.
On one of its low passes the vertical stabilisers were physically wobbling! An awesome aircraft and must get to visit one we have one on display at IWM Duxford, I must get down there to reminisce, happy days.
One of my favourite aeroplanes is the Vulcan, beautifully sleek and was an crowd stopper at displays

Absolutely love air shows. Hill Air Force Base (A-10's, F-16's, F-22's, F-35's...) is about 1.5 hours north of me. Good museum with an SR-71. I agree, the Vulcan is a beautiful plane.

We have no snow out here. The icy wind from China get a lot of humidity when traveling down over the Japanese sea and when it hits the Japanese Alps, Gave it heavy snow on the northern coast.

Applying the primer would be a little later. I got to make many small things for cabin accessories.
Thanks for the kind words for the story about my desk. There are so many tools passed to me from my father so long ago. I still remember the first time when I use it with his instruction.

As I always thinking, we are living in a curious land. You spread the handkerchief on the table and pick up the center with your finger a bit. Drop a handful of peas around. That's our island. Peas are us.My friends, thank you for your kind words. In fact, it's a very nerve-wracking task. I was so rewarded and relieved.
I've just remembered the rubber sheet I used when I made tires.
That's handy. Also, the surface of the rubber sheet makes those tiny parts and bits stay still on the table. No hopping and vanishing!
Those O2 bottles will go here.
The build for the accessory will be finished soon and I will paint and set the seat pedestal on the floor. Then I will build the bulkhead between the soldier's compartment and cockpit and see if I can find the space to fix the commander's seat.

Thanks, Hagoth-san.I'm impressed with how you capture the essence of the fire extinguishers with such basic shapes and pieces. I would be driven to make exact replicas at yet here you go with simplicity and there is no mistaking for what they are.
The secret is, never to try to build an exact replica. So that nobody can peck about the accuracy.
