AAV Drop Ship

Very COOL additions to the build Katsu-san, they’re looking sweet !

Although, I can’t stop thinking - due to your recent and wonderful Halloween posts & the method you’ve used to make these figures (with endo skeletons) - that perhaps these ‘ pilots ‘ are actually a new series of ‘ Terminator ‘ too !!! :p:lol:

Never happens!!
Thanks, Ged-san.

Those figures look great!

Thank you, Ged-san.

WoW! Those figures look great, Katsu-san! This build has now become stellar.

Thank you, Stevie-san!

Great work on the figures! I look forward to seeing them painted.

Thanks, Tom-san, I will post soon!

All the best,

Katsu

Here's a few progress.
Painted the figures and now adding some accessories.

The scale of this figures are 1/24. about 3 inches tall .
I had a hard time working even on this relatively large size figures.
I want my young eyeball back. As I looking at this large pics, i can see some rough parts here and there. Guaaann!!
You should not aging.

Now I'm trying to fix a harness and buckles.
I couldn't find the appropriate reference pics yet so far.....

Using a sand paper of fabric type for the belts.

Huum...

Thanks for looking!

The figures and seats are looking sweet Katsu-san.

When I stopped modelling over 30+ yrs ago I remember NOT needing glasses or short breaks ( to ‘ stretch ‘ my legs ! ) , after sitting over the work area planning, building or painting away .
Since taking up the hobby again, the reading & magnifying glasses are essential, and short breaks - aren’t only important but required !? ..., getting to ‘ age ‘ is a double - edged sword my friend !:p

What Analyzer and Gedmac said - the figures look really good. And it's nice of you to make the crew American; the Japanese flag would have been a lot easier! :)

I think they look great!

I've had to resort to reading glasses in order to paint things in the past few years

Thanks, Analyzer-san.
Eyeglasses are troublesome. Whenever I need it, it's somewhere else.
So I put the string on the both frames to hang it on my neck. Still it's gone. I find it in my back.

The significant fact irritates me is still I can see very well the things at a distance. I can observe the rings of Saturn in a fine evening. :p

Thank you very much, Tom-san.

Considering neighboring countries, I didn't make The Rising Sun Banner though I like it.:eek:

Here are some pics of today.

Tomorrow, I will add some details on these gondola and paint it.
Then I can go for the build of cockpit module, soon.

Katsu-san, your (continuing) attention to exacting details is staggering and inspiring, and as with most of your recent builds, considering it’s ALL scratched - it’s mind blowing !

There you go my friend...., I hope you’re happy now, my (already) Fragile mind has been destroyed !:p

Thank you, Ged-san,
Fragile mind?!?!
You man with fragile mind living in a wild Australia with those crocodiles ??

The crocs, sharks, poisonous - jellyfish, octopi, snakes and spiders etc, etc ..., aren’t scaring me Katsu-san !
It’s the bloody record-breaking ‘ heat wave ‘ type weather we’re having so early on for summer over here, and your remarkable skills as a modeller that’s ‘ fried/frying ’ what’s left of my feeble brain !o_O:p

Are you trying to scare me? I am living with my wife for more tan 30 years.
;D

All the best!

Thanks, Analyzer-san!

Here's a few progress.

Added some detailing parts on the inside wall of cockpit.
Fit the cockpit in to the gondola. Added some armor plate around the gondola.
Each gondolas were screw bolted on the pedestal with hinges at the bottom end corner of the gondolas to make them tilting up/down.

I'm thinking if I could add a Head Up Display on the glare shield of the rear cockpit.

I will paint the gondola and then make a external fuselage.

Thank you for looking!

I hope your wife doesn't get to read this forum!

I love the work on your cockpit! And making it tilt is a new top notch skill! I can't wait to see the rest of this ship come together.
