A couple of Goonies Prop Ideas...

not yet i just messaged him again about maybe going lower so we'll see what he does.I personally just can't pay $70 for a little bag not saying it's not worth that just with the economy being what it is for something that small NON aged is a no brainer you just have to say no.

that's great thanks for sharing the link i might have to take the plunge and make a hero wallet now.I been working on my accurate copperpot license as a free paper prop and it's coming along great stay tuned :love

ok i got him to come down to $48 with $10 shipping and that includes the gems.I think that's fair he's shipping from france which is why it was so high.He seemed cool this time around so i think I'm gonna pull the trigger considering we all are saving $20 from his normal price.

65.00 for a bag witout the marble king logo seems insane.
No offense but witout the logo its just some cheap sack.
I would wager that anyone of us could get 20 or so made at promotional merchandise shop or that amount.
I would except that I made a big deal of the matter to the people at marble king over the telephone.

we could alway's put the logo on ourselves no biggie but i hear what your saying I can hold off if we can find a way to make these bags happen.

Cool Mike keep us posted :)

on another note I found this after I got my wallet done just forgot to post this. When I was really looking for a close match to the one in the movie I found this going through TONS of pages of wallets. This is probably the closest looking wallet I found just at the time I didn't wanna spend the cash on it, might go back and do it sometime.

Great find, I have been hunting high and low for a close enough wallet
Only problem is they wont ship to the UK:cry
Anybody over the pond willing to get one and ship it to me in the UK ?

I'm just checking the thread, as I have been asked several times to do this...

I need some information though:

- There's any consensus about the type of material of the bag?
- The strings of the bag, they doesn't look to be leather, just some kind of cord (I think I know what type they're)
- Any photos of the eyelets?
- Any photo of the upper seams? They look kind of "special".

I'm seeing that you're having problems with the price, I would be willing to work in this prop, but giving that it's near the same that my indy sandbag I won't be able to do it for less than the price of it, so I will estimate to be the same 67$, until we find out the materials and all the details...

- Are you willing to pay 67$-75$ for an all SA goonies marble bag, I mean with logo, distressing and everything, and including worldwide shipment...

Thanks guys for your confidence in my work :)

From you?...YES!

I would definately be interested in one from you.
On another note. Where would you find the gems to go with it? I have been searching high and low but can't find a good source for cheap gem replicas.

pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease serenade i love your work no question I'm def in :cool

yea I'd be in for that since I've looked around on the net and can't find anything close to it, truly is custom made I believe. I've seen your indy bag and it looks FANTASTIC so I'd have no problem forking over some dough to get a good accurate bag from you.:)

David, you can count me interested as well. :cool

ok I took some screen caps, to me from these it doesn't even look like it has the fabric loops like I first thought. Looks like it just has gromets (or whatever you call them) at the top.

Here are some Blue Ray Screenshots if it's any help just click on them a few times

So I did a little digging for you guys and came up with a few things!!!

I emailed Marble King with the HD last screen shot that Pitbull supplied asking if they still sell this type of pouch or at least have the design so they can reproduce it. Here is the reply I got back today from Marble King:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Andy,

We can still produce the bag. Is this bag suede with rawhide ties or is it flannel? We did both bag types during that period. The picture resolution is not good enough to tell the exact material.

If you have any questions, please give me a call. Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely,

Beri Fox

So what do you guys think??????

I also spoke to a guy from a Marble company on the net with any info he had on this type of marble pouch from the 80's and his reply to my question was this:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Andy--those bags are actually kind of hard to find though really aren't high dollar items when they are found. I haven't seen one for awhile, actually. I would search on eBay..that'll be your best bet!
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please let me know your thoughts!!
