I finally got all 882 coins to stay put on a shelf in a Detlof case without any glue or modification to the case.

I pushed the glass shelf as far back as it would go to make the gap in the rear as small as possible. I then hand laid the first 6 layers of coins moving the front row back slightly with each new layer.

The design of the coins actually helped "lock" the layers in place.

Here is a side view.

Here is what the 882 coins looked like all neatly stacked. :D

We managed to get 140 of the Disney plastic coins which I painted with a gold plate spray and then weathered them slightly. We popped them in a wooden chest and then added 20 of the MR regular gold coins on top as a mix plus the Disney jewels to complete the look. The key sits outside the chest.

:eek Wow. That's a great display. I was pretty happy with the 200 I have until I saw that.

That's dedication :cheers

Looks great. I just hope you don't live in Earthquake country, by a railroad track or where semi-trucks rumble by your place.

I wanted to see the pics, but I get them same "IPB Image" problem previously mentioned. Anybody know what's going on with this?

Strange... the only thing I can think of is that for some reason my server is not receiving the proper HTTP_REFERER from your browsers.

I have my server set up to only allow the images to be displayed if the URL requesting them is therpf.com, other than that, I can't think of what the problem might be.

I wish I could see too :(

I'm always excited to see what can be accomplished with a detolf shelf :)

It reminds me of one of the machines as Peter Piper where you drop tokens in and hope to make the whole pile fall out. :)

Very awesome. I'm jealous.

Made a change to the server so that everyone can view the pictures.

Hee hee, I was going to say the same thing. Fantastic display. :thumbsup

Man, that is sweet :) Yet another great use of those handy shelves. I own 4 myself, but I only have 1 coin, so mine would not be cool at all. :D
Nice work, thanks for sharing the pictures.
