Awesome mate, I really look forward to seeing this build come together. So cool seeing all the parts laid out like that.

What part is that to the left of the small chieftain part? Seems big - does it get trimmed through the middle?

Nah I mean the part to the right of where the Entex bulb shaped part goes - I've just had a quick look at some pics and I think you may have a wrong part there. Is it from the Su85?

Julien, how did you build the aluminum armature? Any machining necessary, or just drill and screws? Also, how do you attach it to the styrene?

Ron, it's not aluminium, it's 1" x 1" square ABS tubing. The only aluminium parts are pipes inside the square tubing, they're screwed together.
I used neoprene glue, the best for this kind of use !

    Tox,
Looks great! What are those parts in the upper mandible, far left? They are located below the F1 engine and to the left of the POW part? Also, that grey hook part that is near these parts.

Been searching for those for a loooong time!!!

    Hi Julien

Just thinking that there's a part missing on your set up of the port mandible,..you probably know what the real part is, but I think it looks close to part A3 of the Leichter 222...some sort of hatch/ peephole thing... It's the part marked with the red arrow..
BTW, do you know the green arrow part..?

    Hope it helps...prolly not..

    Cheers

Part A11 looks to be the part. I've measured it against other parts nearby.

No worries. I have a spare one of these now, so let me know if you need it.

Don't suppose you've figured out what these parts are?

It's good to see how the sidewalls look with all these newly found parts on them. Still so many kits I need to pick up before I can get to this point.

    Looks great!!

Is there any chance that you might spill some silicon on those sidewalls?

That's been the big deterrent for me on building a falcon. The fear that I'd never be able to track down the parts needed to kitbash the sidewalls.

    That sounds fantastic !
Always been a dream projekt to build a SS Millennium Falcon
but could`t imagine where to get all those kits.

This would be a huge leap forward in my plan to build one

hope if someone do this it`s in my price range :lol

You guys are incredible skilled by the way.

Aarrgghh !!..you do this now, when I've gone to all this trouble ??:lol
Where's my padded room, and the straight jacket..:cry

But seriously..great news, if it makes more Falcons it's gotta be good (y)thumbsup

Pm'd you Julien, but your box is full.

BtW, I could use a landing gear set if there's a possibility of future silicone spillage..

    Cheers

    Very nice work sofar!

How much does one spend on all the donor kits alone? I'd love to know because I will be doing this large project at some point in the future.

    You are an inspiration!

I dunno if you can put a definate price on it all...it depends what you can get them for, as some are rare, out of production, and you might pay various amounts. I've collected them over some years and I still don't have them all. I have no idea what I've spent in total. If I added it up I would probably be in shock. It's best to not think about it too much I reckon.

    Sweet looking start Julien.

I would like to put a landing gear set on mine once I start, As long as it's removable.
