Limited Run 2015 Marty McFly Jacket - Shipping Now!!!

My jacket arrived today Mark, its fantastic..i love it..but im so scared to do the gluing :D

Yeah I feel the same way. Still psyching myself up for that. Don't want to **** up anything.

I filled the cuffs and waist band with expandable foam then attached one of the cuffs using 5 minute epoxy. This is a very clean and secure way to attach these parts.

hi brad,

look great :thumbsup remember to post pics here when you're done :D

Of course. I got both cuffs on. The belt is next but I need to figure out how to correctly "bunch" the rubber latex together.

I think it will be better to seperate the lining at the bottom. Have the latex side gathered (sewn), and then stitch the lining back to latex. It's long winded and will probably require help fron a seamstress for most folks, but it will look a lot better, and for the price of the jacket worth going the extra to get it right.

Hi, my jacket arrived today, looks really great better than in the pictures and good quality

.

I was one of the firat people to recieve a jacket, but I have yet to see it in person. I ordered it in another state and sent it home. Im going on leave in a few weeks and ill finally be able to actually see it.

My jacket is almost complete. Just wanted to ask anyone who has attached the buttons on the belt, did you stick it straight on in which case you would have an over hang and only half of the button would be glued to the belt. Or do you trim the first plastic rib on the belt back to be level with the flat end piece of the belt so when you attach the button the whole area can be glued and you don't get the over hang? I have not got a high res pic of the original jacket to see in detail how it was done in the movie.

hi Nicofett,

I noticed something while looking at this picture compared to the real thing. The elbow bellows are too low by just a few inches and the forearms are too long.

Ya I get what you are saying and you are right but remember the Hero Jacket from the movie would have been tailor made for Mr Fox whereas ours is made from generic patterns to be an off the shelf item to fit all depending on your nearest size. My jacket fits a treat but it does not hang on me like Michael J Fox's hangs on him because he has a small frame and it was specially made to fit by the wardrobe department. Maybe it could have been made a little differently, the plastic around the cuffs and waist are thinner on the original than on ours but I'm not complaining too much. Markpoon did an amazing job compared to what was available and I am happy to be only one of 20 people to own one.

Thanks MitasTouch for the pics of the buttons but I am still not sure of the best way to go on attaching them. Because the original seems to have a thinner belt part ours will not look or fit as flush to the jacket as this. Gonna have to think of the best compromise.
