Officially there were 44 numbered units made. I guess the total was around 50, or so, but it's just a guess.

I must have been one of the last ones. Supposed to get a numbered plaque if i remember right, but just got the kit.

There was indeed a nice numbered plaque with the first 44 units, I got #40 after spending two years on the search. Even though I am happy I have one, I am sad that there will be no more, at least not in the foreseeable future. I would have dug up the money for a Gold Leader kit as well. I definitively would have.

I was just wondering what ever happened to the gold leader version? I realize after such a monumental work of accomplishment that a well deserved rest period is in order. I would be in for one of the gold leaders thou. Just saying as this is one of my favorite ships.
