To the winners, please PM me with your shipping information so that I can send it to the ones that a donating the prizes. Also for the ties, I have a solution that can be discussed if necessary.

To everyone, I hope you all have had as much fun with this as I did. Now you can tell everyone which sonic was yours. Except for Jannix Quinn, I think he drank his already....

Wow second place, Thank you so much to every one who voted, and a big thanks to The Next Doctor for hosting the contest.

P.S
My address has been sent to you The Next Doctor (I hope, if it didnt go through just let me know :D).

Cool, but why do the pictures look so much better now, almost like they were different entries :wacko

Congratulations to all the winners, thoroughly deserving all.

My entry was Number 11.

As soon as the gallery of entries went live I felt thoroughly outclassed. I'm also guessing mine is one that was labeled as a lightsaber-lite, although that was absolutely the furthest thing from my mind during experimentation and construction. I was watching a lot of Classic Who at the time so if anything I was thinking more of the old school 'drivers. I do regret not going with some paint on the grooves in the 'head' to make them stand out. But such is life; full of regrets and could have beens.

Pictures (Full size and ones not included in the competition), can be found here on my prop blog.

That certainly isn't as close to lightsabers as some. It's a fine line between the two designs though as Tennants and Smiths look like mini lightsabers. Mace Windus saber scaled down would make a wicked looking sonic.

Congrats to everyone! I know this contest was awesome, because I'm not jealous of any of the winners. They all deserved to win!

For anyone that wants to know, my entry was number 32, or the illustrious "Star Trek the Next Generation" sonic.

Which has already received an unceremonious tear-down, and will get a proper buildup this time around. Well, eventually anyway.

Congrats again to everyone!

Actually I didn't think yours was lightsaberish at all...it's just that I could tell you used a flashlight for it XD No offense but I just didn't want to be able to tell what was used too easily. :confused

Oh, almost forgot.

My entry was #20.

I liked this one but...I gotta ask...is that a nose hair trimmer? :lol It looks like some sort of trimmer but I couldn't put my finger on it.

During earlier messing around I had the 'head' reverse, which really changed the lines of it and did make it look a lot less like part of a torch. But that meant I couldn't use the pepper shaker lid as the 'emitter', which was the one but I really liked the look of. Ah well, life is full of regrets :lol

Soon I will post a whole thread with a bunch a pics of my sonic (and some of my wip laser screwdriver).
Also I forgot to say congratz to everyone who won so,
Congratz to:
PeteSSS
ASP9mm
shuktuki
Prototype7

P.S
PeteSSS, I hope to see pics of your screwdriver with the MFX screwdriver :D

Great fun, congrats to all the winners and I will ship out my prize as soon as I get the shipping info.

I was #14, it was one of the lightsabery sonics. Funny, to me, because I really was thinking how would a "sonic" tool work when I designed it.
I will post up a build because it does look like it was lathed but I used other methods to get that look. There was also some sheet metal work that you might be interested in.
And I had a lighted version that looked pretty cool, some pics of that as well.
