Chief Gunner with His Model Design
Original caption: Washington, D. C.: Boone. A Master Diver Pays Tribute To His craft...In Miniatures. It took Chief Gunner's mate G. F. Boone just six months to be made into a master diver, but it took him much longer to make this model diver he is exhibiting in Washington.
It is in perfect scale complete to the last detail. A small air pump supplies pressure. A tiny sheath knife, a telephone head set, valves, lines and other diving suit accessories are all in proper place.
