Yeah, a nice clear matte can of spray paint does a great job on frosting up the bottles.

There's an Adam Savage video where he does something similar to a lantern light.

Was just reading up on "Cell" the other Cusack film adapted from a Stephen King novel.. and caught this on IMDB:




So... that's kind of interesting. I'm going to have to rewatch Cell to see if any better photos can be gotten, as the OG painter never got back to me sadly. Though I'm afraid to as I remember the book being much better.

Wasn't sure if the exact measurement of this sign is known, but since I have the screen used prop:
21.5 x 17.5 inches

Thanks for the measurements and the fact that you are willing to share the scan of the book cover.
I think I used your image to do the plaque which I sized as 500 x 400 mm; it is a bit smaller than your measurements converted to metric: 546 x 445 mm.

Does anyone know if the book prop with all the files of the previous deaths that is given to Cusack ever made it up for sale? or any of the crime scene photos etc?

We should crowdfund it! Either that or I won't be buying myself that new camera lens I was planning on next month!


Anyone here thinking of bidding for it? Would only bid on it if I knew none of the other 1408 fans on here were going for it. Wouldn't want to be bidding against them putting the price up as I know it would be going to a good home if it was got by someone here.
