I'm pretty hot for an 11th sonic myself...I just ordered the toy version which will hold me over, I just wish Qmx would at least update on where they are with production of these. If they can't handle the job, another more reliable company should get the license instead. It's not like there isn't a market for this prop - there is a HUGE market for it, both the 10th and 11th sonic so I don't see how getting these made is a huge risk or anything. There have been far more complicated replica props released in the past so it's not a "can't be done" issue....
I agree with Mr. Munson though - you can't really count on things until they are in-stock and ready to ship.
QMx showed a really well-done 10 sonic, that they have yet to bring to market. The 11 sonic they showed, conversely, looked like crap. So the chances we'll see that any time soon seem slightly lower than our chances of getting a 10, and that's looking like about half-past never.
You are right, though... It isn't that it can't be done. CT is working on his 11 and, though I haven't seen it, I am pretty sure it's going to be exactly what you're looking for. Unless you're looking for a licensed product, of course.
I finally took the spring out of my CO toy so that it operates with a "flick" as you see in the show. Much happier with it now. Would like to eventually figure out a button mod.
Again, I say... déjà vu.Let me see I have understood this right. The reason why the prototype is so inaccurate is because he chose to replicate the one that no one has ever seen and has had no verifiable screen time rather than the one that most people have seen in publicity and screen shots. Gee, funny that. :lol
Well then, good. Nobody will complain when the final version looks nothing like the prototype.
QMx is good a producing nice little trinkets and the occasional high dollar, limited run item, but nothing in the middle.
Meanwhile, there's a guy in China stamping out 9/10 sonics left and right. I'll believe it when the things start shipping.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the sonics in question are anything BUT a "mass produced POS 'stamped' out in China". They were referring to the sonics being made by a certain former RPF member that spent YEARS exhaustively researching those sonics so that he could produce the best working replicas available, and he even managed to fit a SOUND CHIP into them, when the original prop doesn't have that feature! Those that own them rave about the quality... somehow I doubt that will be the case with QMX's version... if it ever even sees the light of day.Is that what you really want? Some mass produced POS "stamped" out in China?
