11th doctor sonic screwdriver toy vs prop

Hi, does anyone have any details of the 11th doctor sonic screwdriver toy vs the actual prop used in the show? To me the toy doesnt look over sized, it is obviously a toy, but Im just looking for details on the original prop if the info is out there...

The CO toy is about 5mm shorter

Yep, the new sonic is huge. Not a big fan myself but it is what it is.

Where as I really like it... maybe because the 11th was my first Doctor. Ive caught up on all the new Who, but 11 was my first look into it. Its what got me hooked.

Actually I enjoy Paul better now as the Doctor after having listened to his Big Finish Audio plays. He really expands the character and makes it is own. I highly recommend the Big Finish line to anyone. Makes for a great escape during the morning and evening commute.

I can understand that. I started with Baker, so, Smith's is just a bit odd to me.

I totally agree!
Other then McGann's amazing TARDIS, I didn't like "The Enemy Within". But I love the BF audio-books about the 8th Doctor.

See, I started with Tennant, then went back and Watched Echelson, the Smith, and now the older doctors (I found all the existing episodes online, which is mad handy)

Smiths works for me, and I like him more than some of the other ones, but Overall I like them all. even McGann, even though the film made me want to bash my head in with a small cylindrical object. I hope they bring him back in the anniversary show comming up in 2012 (2011?)

See, i dont get the hate for the movie... It was perfectly fine, to me, but them again, im only up on NU Who.

Im slowly catching up on Old Who tho.

To keep this on topic, the toy has 2 buttons on its body, one to extend it, and one to light it up/sound effect. Anyone have any good pics of the REAL prop? Id like to see if the buttons match.

Actually, there are 2 sound buttons on the toy. Don't forget the hidden button on the butt of the sonic that lets it make sounds when extended. The button on the black textured area doesn't work when the sonic is open.

Right, but i dont know if that button is on the real prop. Ive seem some pics of the real one, and I think the 2 normal buttons on the toy are on the real prop, but im not sure.
