It's a keyring that you can store paper money in for emergencies.
Seriously?? A USB Jump Drive would have made more sense in this day age. I never use cash anymore. Of course it would be so very very easy to convert the money keyring into one.

Sounds like the bits are supposed to be removable. And that feature was mentioned in the announcement of the product, so it's not like they didn't tell us what they had planned.
I could care less if they have removable screwdriver in the tip or not, but that pic makes it look like there's a big slot down the side of the bottom section where the bits lock in. Note the lip of the ring is slightly lower on the 'slot' which seems to suggest it's not just a shadow.

At least they got the emitter head bars right on this one. Loving the metal finish too. It looks a LOT better. The green head still looks too green to me though. Hopefully they'll add the little rivets to the brass part too and maybe the little screw hole in the handle. It's probably just a prototype image though, so hopefully a finished image will be along soon. Either way, I'll be picking one (possibly two) up. Great price

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, and joined mainly for the Sonic Screwdriver/Dr Who stuff
I have had some correspondance with WOW! Stuff, the people making the sonic screwdriver screwdriver, and potentially the pen and the torch in the 10th Doctors model. However, when I emailed them, asking if they were making a 10th Doctor replica, they said they did not have the rights to it... so that means either they are playing their cards close to their chests, and wanting to keep the 10th Doctor stuff under wraps, or the pictures of the pen and the torch are infact just mockups- as they look like they are- and infact are not going to happen. I hope not- I want a proper replica of the 9th/10th doctors sonic...

If you want a proper replica of the Ecclestone/Tennant Sonic, look for the Celestial Toystores version.

Broke down and ordered the CO sonic, along with the River Song sonic which I never got around to getting before. Should have them in a few days. yay!
Just got mine today, quite nice, but the red button on the end doesent work when it's opened but when it's closed both work? No worries, still a cool piece for a small display and to play with
