1/6 Kaiyodo/Screamin' Boba Fett

I really hate to be "that guy" who is a stickler for the rules, but should you really be posting links to live auctions?

I'm not selling the items, she was burnt on a deal and I was just pointing out to her that there were some others up for sale. Why would I post them in the Junkyard when they are not even my items ? and yes you are being that guy I have seen a million posts where a member was looking for an item and a link was posted and it was no big deal, if the mods want the links removed that's fine.

Sorry to hear about the DB eBay seller. I hate that.

No links to live auctions unless you suspect fraud. Those are the rules. Deal with it. Just because others do it and nothing happens doesn't mean it's okay just that the mods can't be everywhere.

Send a pm instead next time.

The links were removed before the link police come crashing through the door.
:behave.

Sorry to cause problems here.

Appreciate the help Ray and sorry if u posting that got u in trouble.

As for the wonderful dood at ebay hes been harnessing me and whining about the fact I gave him a negative feedback. So I gave him a choice to either make this deal right or be reported to ebay for harassment if he didn't stop contacting me with crap emails.

On a happier note think I got the arms where I want so I should be gluing them tonight or Wednesday, just depends if I can get some free time here soon otherwise I will be doing it this weekend BUT Boba is coming along awesomely :D

Only guys can like scale modeling?? :behave

My Mom built several models (original Trek) for me when I was young and got me into building at about 7 years old. (1960's)

My step sisters also built for a while when they where younger.

You see lot's of girls modeling over on the Club House and Fine Scale forums.:thumbsup

Hey guys!

Sorry for the lack of updates just been really busy with work and I hit a snag with primer.

I have tired Dupli-color white and black as well as Rust-oleum sandable black and all is remaining curing and not drying!

I cannot find anything else suggested here locally and I am starting to get frustrated with the fact I have primered vinyl models before and never had this much trouble.

Suggestions?

Ive had the same problems, Its weird how black primer will do that. I only use the sandable gray primer. Never had a problem with that. Just mix it really well. For a minute or two.

Al

Yeah, grey primer never gives me issues. Tried black primer once and it just ran. Not even interested in trying anything else.

I can check the brand on the stuff I'm using, but I'm not sure it's a commonly available brand outside DK, though.

What's the temperature where you are painting? If it's too cold it may create issues with the curing too, or if the pieces haven't been washed and dried properly first. You could ask the place you bought the paint whether they know of something better for vinyl surfaces.

I think I will try that.

So far white and black just won't dry and come off the model with ease.

My thought was primer the parts that were going to be metal with black then with a silver paint but so far that idea hasn't worked out yet.

Yeah, let me know what brand u use if u wouldn't mind Too Much Garlic and I will see if I can find it around me.

The brand is called MOTIP and seems to be connected to Dupli-Color. Maybe check with the place you bought the Dupli-Color regarding the brand or check out their grey primer. I bought my primer at an auto paint store - maybe they have the MOTIP line where you live, though it does seem to be limited to Europe.
