I didn't know where to post this. I guess it's general modeling. I'm working on a 1:6 figure of Ethan Edwards from "The Searchers" and I needed a head sculpt. This is my very first attempt at sculpting something. Comments, critiques are welcome. It's going to have micro doll eyes and real hair, hence the cue ball look. Now I have to cast it, which is something I'm not very familiar with. So wish me luck!

Thanks! I reworked the eyes a little bit then dropped it in some silicone. Stay tuned for updates!

"The Searchers" is one of my favorite movies and your sculpt looks fantastic. Can't wait to see it finished.

Great sculpt! I would love to be able to scuplt at that scale - or any scale, for that matter.

Without the hair, though, it kinda looks like Picard's having trouble... "beaming down his away team", if you catch my drift :lol:lol

First ATTEMPT??

Well...You are well on your way to being a very sought after Scultpr...especially...in this scale.

That is an awesome start! Very nice work on the likeness so far. Its hard to find figures that really capture his image.:cool

Thanks for the compliments. I sculpted the head in plastiline, then cast it in resin. Here is the painted piece:

And here are the arms I sculpted to go with it. They're Fimo:

A-freaking-mazing!
That is one of the best 1:6 head sculpts I've seen in a long time.
Better than most of the sculpts from sideshow IMO.
