1:537 Stargazer Thoughts?

I noticed it, but I think I'll be holding out for the Alliance Dauntless. At any rate I'd imagine it'll take the same finesse as any other custom resin kit. I also found this if it helps.

Thanks. It seems to be a pretty nice kit.

The reason I'm considering it is because the $15 saucer thickening kit for the Reliant I'm buying from them comes with a $30 shipping tag to Canada. I figure if I'm paying stupid shipping I might as well get something of a little more value. ;)

Well whatever route to take good luck. If you go with the resin kit let me know how it goes. The largest resin kit I have is the PL refit replacement shuttle bay that I'm still preparing. The others I've completed are aircraft engines (same scale as my planes) that are slightly wider then a quarter. They're still sitting in my little deuce and a half awaiting the airbrush. The irony is the engines contained more parts per kit then the Dauntless.

Ya, we'll see where I go. I don't think I'm going to pick up the resin kit and I'll just suffer the crazy shipping cost.

That sucks and I'm sorry. Longest un-patrolled border in the world with almost nonexistent tariffs (NAFTA) and they get you with shipping. If it helps USPS got me for 1/2 that so I ordered more to justify the cost. $13.50 for 2 tiny items (I doubt they would even weigh an ounce) that combined cost $16 dollars? Really? :darnkids How are they going bankrupt again? Maybe you could contact Federation Models and see if they can't work something out with the cost?

Sorry for the rant, I too have paid WAY to much to have stuff imported. Example: wooden model boat kit cost me a whopping $79 in shipping and tariffs (Exotic material I think).

That is why I usually buy $50+ worth of stuff, to offset the shipping.
Many places offer free shipping if you buy over a certain amount.

I tried, but even at well over $100 Federation models still cost me $13.50. At least Cult TV Man offers flat item shipping rates so my etchings and window inserts where cheaper. How they arrive after going through the mail is a different story.
