I believe part of the problem stemmed from where Autoworld was shipping the Premiere kits from. Autoworld is essentially Round 2's factory outlet store based in South Bend, IN and they've been around for I believe almost a year now. But the Premiere kits were shipping from Fife, Washington, which was where the container shipment was unloaded. So I have a feeling what happened was the shipping setup out of Fife was either contracted out or maybe set up as a brand new shipping site for other stuff (not as likely) and it revealed some bugs.
The Premiere kit orders were special with the shipping invoices going to the location in Fife where I believe they ONLY got the Premiere kits. The Lighting kits on the otherhand would be going to Autoworld's South Bend location (unless a container shipment of stuff was going to customer distributors warehouses on the west coast as well, but that is direct volume shipping and doesn't include retail customers) and Round 2's own factory warehouse. So, the best case scenario is they would be shipping from two separate places.
What probably jacked things up further in regards to the Premiere orders was selecting Priority Mail instead of UPS (which was the default free service). Yes Jeff, I know why you selected Priority. You wanted to try and get it quicker and I don't blame you. I toyed with that thought myself, but opted to go free shipping instead as my pocketbook is a bit lighter these days. Unfortunately, it sounds like the Premiere kits were only intended to go UPS as they were geared only for that in Fife (figuring perhaps that nobody would go Priority) and maybe didn't have anybody available at the shipping site who could take a couple boxes to the post office (or some other glitch popped up) or nobody dreamed that anyone would pass up the opportunity for "free" shipping. The cancellation process again would add its own layer of limbo.
No, I am not trying to justify what happened. I'm just trying to perhaps come up with a possible explaination for what did happen. As for the other bits, why go to Kerr? He's a contractor who does work for Round 2 PL. Why not try R2 customer service directly since Autoworld is their store? It might be worth a shot anyway.
