1/18 Airwolf- Thoughts?

Gone but not forgotten.
It doesn't look like there's anything out there, so I was wondering if one could be made from an existing R/C body?

R/C helis scales are usually referred to by engine size instead of true scale, but I'm hoping one of the medium size ones might match up.

What does 1/18 convert to on a ruler? I had it figured out a few months ago, but forgot to write it down. :$

Once I know the scale, I can look up a Bell 222's dimensions and know what size body I'm looking for. :thumbsup

Thanks!

Just divide the full size length by 18 e.g if a Bell 222 is 12.85m long.

12.85m / 18 = .7138m = 71.38cm = 28.1"

Ooops, I forgot to explain- I'm wanting a 1/18 body to maybe try a static model. With all the other cool 1/18 stuff out there, I thought an Airwolf would be a fun addition. I'm thinking one of the smaller R/c bodies might be a good start, but I need to know how big it needs to be first. Since R/C bodies are sold by engine size, I need to find out how big a 1/18 Bell 222 would be in the first place, then I can check with the R/c guys and see which body is the closest.

The one i linked to is probably the closest you will get to 1/18.
There is a thread all about this one on one of the Gi Joe forums. That's where i got the link.
And this style will probably be pefect, as all you'll need to do is mask off the windows and scratch the rotor assemblies.
Bar.

Like I said in my previous post... 28.1"

Ahhh, ok. I wasn't sure if those were just "example" figures or not. :) I've been running around like my head was cut off to get some stuff ready to mail out Monday and my attention span's all over the place. :$

THANKS!
