I am actually more concerned with the mounting bracket and arch than the cape itself.

Anyone know of a good tutorial or maker who has done this project?

Did he do a bust and full cape?

If so I would love to get some help from him. I actually also need his help identifying where to get hair and facial hair for finishing one of his raw casts.

I've just looked at the pictures but it looks like i was wrong they where only part cape pieces but he might have some advice if not you could email this guy for closer shots of his cape clips

However from this picture:

it looks as thought the cape is attached under the body armour with ramps on the shoulder to make it flare out

Hit up graphic Jordan he was doing one a while back and I think he made a file.

My guy is sculpting by hand/eye and is not using a file.

Update:

The bust (raw cast) came in today... I will make some alterations then send it off to have it finished.

Yes sir!!!

This will be my last 1:1 build (for now)

When this an done I will have a 1:1 Captain America, Hulk, Thor and two ironman suits in my office (new show off thread to come when Thor is done)

I am down to needing to finish this Thor build and buying the Loki staff, and maybe a Hawkeye Bow/Arrows for a wall mount and possibly a set of black widow gauntlets for the book shelf.

That sounds awesome!! I loved you Captain America I am currently in the process of my own display. I didn't catch your hulk 1:1 or was that the "smashing thru wall hulk"

Yeah, the "hulk smash" is my hulk for now. When I move homes I want to upgrade to a full 1:1 hulk

Thor by far has been my most difficult build. The resources were not already made so I commissioned a lot of that project...

On cap Chris was already making shields and was willing to make some custom changes for me, punisherNC had done 90% of the work on the suit and the only thing I had to have made was the bust. I had a little trial and error on the helmet but Finhead came through with a great one that was perfect for that project.

The items for Thor that were pre-made required a lot of finishing work this time around, which I have not done much of. Also finding a tall enough mannequin was hard.

I think this will be one of the best builds I've put together but it's probably going to be my most expensive one too.

This thread is incredible mad props on the life size team... Im not sure where your at on the cape but I was thinking his cape looked like it had padding such as EVA foam... I think it would give it just the right amount of support.

Update:

I was able to start sanding and trimming to make the bust fit to the mannequin.

I knocked out a lot tonight but I still need to finish sanding down the left side then start on the right so I can send it off to get painted and finished.

I think it fits the mannequin well and when the armor, arms, hair and cape are attached I think it will look even better.

This is a close up so you can see what I have done so far on the left side in terms of sanding the armor down. You can see I still have some work to do.

These two shots show how it fits on the mannequin.

This shot will give you an idea of how tall this thing is.
