Ive been working the last few weeks on a 1:1 scale M-O(Microbe Obliterator). He's the little guy that chases wall-e around cleaning up after him.

Ive done all the design work in autocad. I then split it into sections which I made individually with chemiwood and stuck them together.

Then coated the chemiwood with polyurethane resin. Next is to sand this back so it's smooth.

Also started work on the brush. Laser cutting the pieces and threaded them onto a tube.

Thats it so far, next week I'm going to finish the head ready for moulding then start on the body.

Cool project! Looks like you have all the right tools to make this turn out awesome!

Will you have the red light-square pop up from the top of his head? Or at least a scribed square to suggest it?

Yep, going to scribe the square on top and the flaps on the back. The thing that is bugging me though is that I can't figure out what this is:

Initially, I thought it was the buy n large logo. Now I'm unsure.

M-O (2).jpg

Looks great! I originally planned to make myself a MO a few years back and gathered reference pics at the time. If you haven't seen it, hopefully this pic might be of help. Click for BIG image. :)
