1:1 scale M-O from the film Wall-e

Everything got painted up white today. Several coats of white primer and the buffed the surface with t-cut to get it nice and shiny. The backpack is now cut out and fits nicely on the back. The Rit dye did not work with my tests, so instead I'm going to use tamiya clear blue paint airbrushed onto the surface of both the backpack and the brush guard.

By the way I have a facebook page where you can follow my progress if you want.

Very almost finished now. I attempted to dye the vac-form backpack with RIT dye however It did not work. Here instead I'm using tamiya clear blue. I think it works well but I probably did one too many coats so the colour is very strong.

A long journey but I'm now finished for the time being!

As you can see he has no eyes at the moment. This is because I need to mold and cast the head to fit the electronics for the eyes. I didn't want to fit them here as It would damage the master.

I might offer a kit if there is interest, it would definitely help make it worth the cost of the mold making.

When I get round to it there are a few changes which need to made for accuracy but right now I'm really happy with him.

Mate he came out really really well. Cant wait to see what you do with the markings and the eye lighting. Are you planning on painting the black stripe around his middle when you get time?

Count me down for a kit anyways when you get a run going.

count me in for a guaranteed kit, he's my wife's favorite character and would go well with our pixar collection! This is glorious. Is this posted in the wall-e yahoo builders group too?

Yep, I'm going to vinyl cut all the details such as the black line and the lettering then paint them on later.

Not yet, I think I'm a member there so I might post him up soon.

I'l be putting up a thread in a the project runs board soon, once I have everything figured out.

Been a while since I posted but thought I would share this picture.

It's M-O next to a full size in progress wall-e(welshwarrior123) to give you a sense of his scale.

He's looking great! M-O was my favourite in the movie, wanted a real one ever since I saw the toy that cleans your desk! Do you have plans for any voice clips?
