Hi Gang,
WHEW... what a weekend. Thursday morning one of the dogs got into a scuffle with a skunk right by the back door... YUP... HE LOST and so did I! Since then I've been cleaning the carpets OVER and OVER trying to get the smell out. The smell was even inside the cabinets and drawers... The dogs have been to the groomers but the smell still lingers... UGH... I did manage to get some things done. Heck, I can only be in the house for so long. Anywho...
While the laser cutter was busy do its job, Scott and I got started on our Astromechs
The CNC left some edges for us to clean
We stacked the 3 R2s on top of each other... we think this is the approx. size of a single engine from an XWing fighter
Now back to all these LED button panels and various greeblies...
These greeblies will go on the overhead panel on Han's side
As do these
Here is another greeblie on that same panel...
LOTS and LOTS of goodness
This is how these pieces will mount - still a few other little greeblies to add
Primer and filler added
Last of the primer
Just waiting for a few coats of silver before being mounted in place!
Here are more misc pics of the LED button panels... I still have a few more to go...
This should make it easy when we begin to add all the LEDs
LED wire cover
Single column button panel
Another cockpit greeblie - this goes near the radar scope. Dopey me forgot to scale it before laser cutting...
Added primer to all the exterior button panel frames
My house smells...
More to follow!
