Agreed on all points. Just keeping you on your toes is all... Best Falcon cockpit around, next to the original.

I'm going to disagree with you and say it's actually better than the original. It will for sure be more interactive than the original, and at least in my eyes it's better because I may actually get to see this one in person some day.

One thing I know is for certain... Sofa's is WAY better than the "Star Wars Holiday Special" version of the cockpit!
As far as that particular "original" is concerned, yes, this one is much better. If Sofa puts some floor grate panels in that are close to the movie original, then I will give him an upgrade.

I arrived to the lab late... I was the last one (shame on me) and the guys had already started! They were converting the bulbs from the button panel to LEDs - it was drawing too much power so Scott jumped in and...
Pure Genius!
I finished up several greeblies
I know... it looks like a HUGE saw blade!

Still needs a 3 prong knob
Mounted these bottom panels to protect all the wiring
OH YEAH... We now have a nav screen!
Here we are!
We never got around to dealing with the sag... grrrrr
It was nice seeing these in place again
LOVE that nav screen
Not a very long video... it was late and we all wanted to get SOME sleep...

Hi Gang,
TEDx has come and gone... I spoke with Chris Lee and the bottom line... we were the hit of the show! I'll let him go into more detail later. In the meantime...
The morning started off as usual. We'll meet up, collect the team and head north to Nashville. Sound like a workable plan. right?
Ring: Hey... what's up...
Caller: Dude... I'm stuck in a ditch
Me: huh?
Caller: I'm stuck in a ditch...
Me: Say what?
OK... so the day didn't start out exactly the way we had planned... Things happen and we just have to deal the best way possible
When we finally arrived we found out we had center spot on the floor... How Cool! But something is missing
After a mad scramble to get everything bolted (this was a cakewalk compared to the entire cockpit) we were good to go before the 1200+ folks descended upon us...
This is/was the VERY first time the seats and console were married together. There was a slight space issue (which we are fixing this week) but in the end... well... you be the judge

You all have raised the bar and have spring boarded the project to a whole new level. I am humbled by your experience and expertise and I thank you all so very much!
