You are one lucky fella who get to take your console to different places to show it off and see other just as good builds!

If I were a bit older I would come and see it myself on one of the shows like the GMX.

Hi Gang,

Thanks for all the positive feedback! I have a 4 day weekend and I'll be getting back out there! Still have to finish the canopy details (adding the trim pieces and filling all the holes), try to lighten the platforms (removing 2X4s) and I'm going to TRY to get all the molds done and out of the way for those dang sliders and other knobs on the new ESB panels... I also have to figure out the front window arch and the window channel alignment... lots to do.

AND... I promise to start posting vids of the build!

I just found two old swivel ball joints that just might work for the Yokes! If I win the auction - this will definately elevate the center console to ESB level!

Got it for the seat project (yes, they do look like Porsche)...I'm praying for the Yokes and their swivel attachments! As for the vid, no, you don't look/sound like a dork; rather like an excited artist and its creation. Cannot wait for the next installment:cool

Work started early this morning... I have a few appointments mid afternoon so I didn't want to get too dirty...

Creating more rockers for the ESB and other misc panels - note the material beginning to change

That should be enough for now

I'm going to create a mold for these modified sliders. I still have to add filler, sand, primer, sand, etc...

Hey Kev,

Breaking down the cockpit and loading it up for transport is really tough - I'm not as young as I used to be - lol. But in the end, I do feel very lucky and fortunate to share the project... but you are welcome to load up the cockpit anytime...

With no immediate schedule lurking about, I'm going to tackle several things this weekend. I'm still debating whether to put the pit back together - I don't have to right away... so... we'll see...

Hi Gang,

UPDATES!

Moving forward with the sliders and rockers

Once these are all clean I will create a mold and then cast 20 of them

Cutting the ends off the nose platform - this will help define the nose and also reduce weight!

All cut off and back in place in the garage

I'll box up the sides

Sprayed a layer of satin clear to seal the pin stripes

This panel had the same issue

Boring updates for ya... I finished boxing in the nose platform and I'm close to taking molds of the sliders...

Slowly putting her back together...

Rockers

Sliders - I have to hold off putting several panels back on so I can correctly align the rockers and the sliders

Unfortunately, I'm in a holding pattern until everything dries and/or I've been able to sand everything smooth...

Waiting for these rockers to dry

I did get these rockers added - there is another HUGE greeblie on this panel - I'm debating whether or not to create it.

AWESOME UPDATE! Starkiller just forwarded me this image of the yoke handles he created in 3D! They attach atop the yoke handles

They are going to look AMAZING!
