1:1 Lifesized Stargate Horus and Anubis

Hello all - I'm continuing with my lifesized posts...

I've been wanting a lifesized Horus for a ridiculously long time to match my lifesized Anubis (thanks gb_dan for such a happy transaction and sending me anubis [which was also produced by dymerski])

Dymerski really knocked this one out of the park. He really is a master painter & "weatherer." I'm still waiting on a matching stand to place Horus.. .but I thought I might share some pics of my stargate living room.

R2 will be moved shortly. Enjoy.

More pics to come when I have time - It's just such a pain to break out the DSLR.

Just plain wow!

This place constantly amazes me with the creativity and skills of the folk on here

Ill echo what has been said. They are some amazing pieces esp with the eyes and the way they are displayed. Grats on some great pieces..i would be happy with even the face section :p

Cant wait to see it on the new stand too

Very impressive. I envy you your space capabilities for these monsters. Very nice.

What color was used for the patina on the copper?

And will you treat us to a back shot as well?

Err...the full size R2 doesnt quite fit in, I suggest you send it to me :thumbsup

The Horus and Anubis are outstanding

What fantastic pieces of workmanship!!! I love them both.....they make great display pieces! :)

here's the butt shot - I couldn't get it straight on - because the helmet is heavy and I don't want to move my temporary stand too much.

Don't know what was used for the patina since dymerski painted it. I'd love to know how to do such a great patina myself - I have some Indiana jones grails that I would like to weather up.

Upon closer inspection - wow - I can see just how much work went into painting these - This isn't just a solid copper color - I can make out 3-5 different layered colors to get a shimmery effect that can't readily be described - there's flakes of gold, copper.... it's just incredible.

I don't have any room left in my prop room - but these stargate pieces were one of the few props that made it up to my living room. (which is why it looks like I have so much space)

Thanks so much for the compliments guys - but all the credit goes to Dymerski of course (y)thumbsup:thumbsup... all I did was take it out of the box and plopped them onto a stand. :angel

Ah, I can see I got pretty damn close with the Horus paint scheme on my scaled kit... just not exactly like it is on yours. I had the silver extend all the way up to the back of the headpiece and not stop short at the raised band. Nice.

Though, you should get yourself some movie styled chest armor instead of the TV style, imo.

Looking real good.

(thanks gb_dan for anubis)

You're welcome!

I just wanted to make a disclaimer here, as I've received several PM's. The Anubis is a product of Dymerski, I sold mine to ave4uevoli a year or so ago because I needed the money. I've never produced or sold these, except the Dymerski one I owned. Trust me, had I been faced with the same situation again, I would have kept it because it was the most amazing prop I've ever owned. :)
