Well guys shock of shocks.. I decided I wasn't totally happy with this version so I reworked the face to make the eyes much more accurate - cleaner and nicer along with a whole bunch of other things... I must be going mad! :wacko

I'm just a perfectionist.... I did the same with my Superman statue... had it almost finished then decided to resculpt the entire head and hands again.. Its just when you see something in its finished state and photographed is when you know there something right or wrong about it.... In this case the original sculpture survived the earlier molding process so I only needed to re-word the existing sculpture rather than start completely from scratch again.

From my own experience; When you're almost done with something, then you REALLY know how to do it, or what it should look like.
That's just the way it goes...

hi phil, since you going back over it maybe have a look at the nostrils, i did notice yours angle downwords slightly and the bit between the nostrils seems shorter/more tucked under on the original puppet.

just an observation which may or may not be worth bothering about.

this is the best yoda yet by far :thumbsup

Things are moving faster with Yoda as i start to see - realise what is required to unlock the truest likeness... Heres the latest pics showing some major overhauls to the eyes chin and mouth along with some subtle mods to the nose.

Theres still lots to do and the smoothing and refining of course... I'm going for the "You will be" look and thanks to Thomas for all the lovely pics he sent me after I molded the V3.a :lol Mind you he didn't realise I'd got that far at the time but none the less I really appreciate his help. and he hasn't so much as suggested being acredited as Art Director :lol
