1:1 ESB YODA (Revealed!!!!) New pics pge 4....

Hmmm....I will admit I haven't looked over any reference yet, and I'll apologize up front for not doing so before this post, but the mouth doesn't seem right. Unfortunately, I am blind without seeing some reference with the sculpt photos. Phil, any chance you could show us (me) the reason for the changes to the mouth? I'm not bashing your skills, as it's apparent you have the IT factor with regards to these projects, just hoping you could 'show and tell' a little bit with regards to the current round of changes.

Thanks!

Looks pretty close to me . Maybe you're getting thrown by lighting but that pic actually reinforces its accuracy rather than dispelling it.

Wow sorry I am late to this thread, very impressive sculpt you have going so far.I have seen a few Yoda's and this is by far the best especially on the ear's and nose and I think redoing the mouth made it look better[not that it looked bad] than before.:thumbsup

Cheers... As a further point to the edits. The changes are made to obviously improve the sculpt and get a better likeness. The mouth was one of those main features that required modification as it was to low down the wasn't chunky or fleshy enough in the area between the nose and mouth. I've basically brought the cheeks forward slightly, aswell, to capture a view more accurately that I'll evidence soon with comparrison pics.

Phil, this pic shows the mouth nose lines on Yodas right as well as the shape of the upper lip near the center:

The nose looks better and so do the eyebrows. :)

Thanks Dave,

Like I said earlier... When I've completed this stage I'll photograph it and set it against various key images of the screen Yoda which, I hope, WILL show how close this is to the original.

Phil...how dare you!!!!???

This looks nothing like YODA ...BLASPHEMIA :angry

With all the idealized versions that has colored our lenses for so long, it is interesting to see one going that extra mile for perfection and the true likeness.

Yeah thats the idea... I want a head that, when you look at it, it'll be hard to tell it appart fro the screen original.
