Looking at the pics I can say that the handle of the torch is definitely a Kobold. Stepped transition. D-ring still attached to the reflector mount. It's got black paint. Not sure whether factory or added. But it definitely could be Luke's ANH droid caller.

The Kobold is wrapped in 3/4" black electrical tape as can be seen in the great pic at POSW:

It also looks longer, in the handle part, than normal Kobolds. Wonder if it was lengthened and then the work covered up with electrical tape.

Looking again at the tubing..It seems to be a spiral. not like the regular corr-tube.
