Illuminated Aliens Pulse Rifle Display Base

Is it the Replicant fx counter you are using ??? If so what happened to them ,I have tried for over a year to get in touch with them and its like they just closed down or something ,their website is gone...IDK.....Guy

Ok so here are my progress pics so far:

1. The replican chip, without alot of the switches attached.

2. Turned on, mag microswitch not pressed.

3. Mag microswitch held in.

4. Channeling in shroud. Notice hole in handle for speaker.

5. Two pegs to hold the circuit board in place.

6. With the chip and switches inside the shroud. This is a VERY tight fit.

7. Power switch and mag microswitch located inside mag well.

8. Battery will (hopefully) sit inside end of SPAS cage on the back of the PFC shotgun.

9. So the PFC mage can be inserted without catching any of the electronics, i've made this thin brass plate.

10. Electronics on inside shroud, showing counter.

11. Counter at 95.

12. With PFC thompson in shrouds. This isnt shown in quite the right place, and needs to sit further back. But you get the idea.

Very Nice LDR , congratulations to you on your pulse rifle ,looking good ,keep me posted ,if you can ,I always enjoy seeing someone complete such a wonderful project....Guy

If you need anymore pictures on the construction ,just let me know and I will put more on here also.......Guy

This build is incredible. This base is simply amazing! I have one of the kits built from the Tokyo Marui Thomson pellet guns. I have mine mounted on the wall with some simple "L" brackets.

Can we get some overhead pics of your base? What did you use for the "Aliens" logo?

Again great job!

The aliens logo was a good idea to give it character for the Pulse rifle and I got with Matt. He made it out of the Black acrylic , that the base was made out of ,and I will post a couple of pictures on here in a little bit for ya..........Guy

I tried to download more pictures into my personal profile albums from my computer ,but this forum for some reason will not let me upload anymore ,I emailed them but havent got a response from them yet, still waiting to here something, the moment I can I will put more pictures on here to help give more of a descriptive look at it from both sides ,thanks .....

Thank you for taking the time to post the photos. It's truly an amazing replica. I'll try to take some photos of mine with the "L" brackets. We panted them the same color as the wall and they blended in nicely. It's sort of floating there.

Was it a bear getting the SPAS pieces for the grenade launcher?
The parts were hard to get ahold of ,as far as the Spas 12 cage and the rest of the parts were machine made and that is still costly ,however cutting the Spas 12 carefully and 870 shotgun to fit to size without cutting too short was the hard part ,no room for errors ,without messing the whole thing up ,I had to really cut a little at a time and test fit a hundred times before I finally got it just right ,it was a job ,thats for sure...Send me some pictures of your Pulse Rifle ,when you get a moment...Guy

I paid 180.00 for the base to be made out of that type acrylic ,along with the plaque also included in that also , however I spent 80.00 ,getting the grenades from SD Studios ,all 3 of those ,which SD Studios , he posts here alot on this site ,also the extra magazine ,I bought from Matsucorp ,for 30.00 and I had to do alot of work on it with dremels ,sanding ,painting and installing ammo to make this one ,took me 4 days to do it all ,drilling ,and using a dremel to form the inside ,because its solid resin all the way up to the top, wasnt fun at all I assure you ,messy more like it ,I just wanted an extra clip look to it ,even though the one in the gun ,is a real clip to make metal contacts to activate my counter unit ,took a year to build the whole gun out of real gun parts.......

I knew alot of people would be inquiring about my base ,but not many inquired about the Pulse rifle ......LOL I wonder if I built that thing , too poorly ,compared to all those nice HCG pulse rifles out there ,I wish I had one of those ,but I couldnt afford one ,it took me 10 years to spend a little at a time to get these parts together ,to just build this thing .............I envy all you guys that paid for yours up front ,I would love to build another one though ,congrats , to all of you HCG owners ,especially on those beautiful ,metal shrouds those PRs have ,they are nice........

Your rifle is stunning! Not sure why you would want an HCG when you have something that great looking!
I actually prefer the look of your display over the wall mount. Your base gives the whole display more 'dimension' if you can understand what I'm trying to say.
You're saying you paid $180 for the display base? If so, sounds like a fantastic price and I would love to have one myself. The only difference I would want would be clear brackets to hold the gun.
Where do you keep this beauty when its on display??

Well sir ,it can be done just like you said with clear ,if thats what you want ,Matt can do that ,with no problem whatsoever ,actually now that you mentioned it ,thats a great idea to have clear stands to support it...... Matt makes them out of clear or smoked stands I,just might email him to see if he could make me some and see what it looks like.....Well as far as where I keep it is upstairs in my hobby room ,by the Alien head,I will get you a picture tomorrow on here ,but the HCG pulse rifles have the real aluminum shroud casing ,which I hope to get one one day ,however any prop made by people take a certain dedication and heart ,I think all of you guys are phenominal with your work ,and I feel honored to just be hanging in the forum with the rest of you....All of you are so talented ,I hope to be apart of this forum for years to come to learn and to help others .......thanks all of you......
