Is it the Replicant fx counter you are using ??? If so what happened to them ,I have tried for over a year to get in touch with them and its like they just closed down or something ,their website is gone...IDK.....Guy
Well if Replicant Fx ,comes back ,please let me know......He has Awsome pulse rifle counters.....Replicant FX is in the military and went out for deployment. Not sure if he is back yet.
If you need anymore pictures on the construction ,just let me know and I will put more on here also.......Guy
The aliens logo was a good idea to give it character for the Pulse rifle and I got with Matt. He made it out of the Black acrylic , that the base was made out of ,and I will post a couple of pictures on here in a little bit for ya..........GuyThis build is incredible. This base is simply amazing! I have one of the kits built from the Tokyo Marui Thomson pellet guns. I have mine mounted on the wall with some simple "L" brackets.
Can we get some overhead pics of your base? What did you use for the "Aliens" logo?
Again great job!
if you can send me a picture of it ,when you get a chance.....Guy , http://www.therpf.com/members/gyoun...ens-pulse-rifle-plaque/1766-other-side-pr.jpgThis build is incredible. The parts were hard to get ahold of ,as far as the Spas 12 cage and the rest of the parts were machine made and that is still costly ,however cutting the Spas 12 carefully and 870 shotgun to fit to size without cutting too short was the hard part ,no room for errors ,without messing the whole thing up ,I had to really cut a little at a time and test fit a hundred times before I finally got it just right ,it was a job ,thats for sure...Send me some pictures of your Pulse Rifle ,when you get a moment...GuyThank you for taking the time to post the photos. It's truly an amazing replica. I'll try to take some photos of mine with the "L" brackets. We panted them the same color as the wall and they blended in nicely. It's sort of floating there.
Was it a bear getting the SPAS pieces for the grenade launcher?
This amazing base was designed by collector Guy Young who had this to say about its construction:
Well sir ,it can be done just like you said with clear ,if thats what you want ,Matt can do that ,with no problem whatsoever ,actually now that you mentioned it ,thats a great idea to have clear stands to support it...... Matt makes them out of clear or smoked stands I,just might email him to see if he could make me some and see what it looks like.....Well as far as where I keep it is upstairs in my hobby room ,by the Alien head,I will get you a picture tomorrow on here ,but the HCG pulse rifles have the real aluminum shroud casing ,which I hope to get one one day ,however any prop made by people take a certain dedication and heart ,I think all of you guys are phenominal with your work ,and I feel honored to just be hanging in the forum with the rest of you....All of you are so talented ,I hope to be apart of this forum for years to come to learn and to help others .......thanks all of you......Your rifle is stunning! Not sure why you would want an HCG when you have something that great looking!
I actually prefer the look of your display over the wall mount. Your base gives the whole display more 'dimension' if you can understand what I'm trying to say.
You're saying you paid $180 for the display base? If so, sounds like a fantastic price and I would love to have one myself. The only difference I would want would be clear brackets to hold the gun.
Where do you keep this beauty when its on display??
